Security and the location was a huge letdown. we had to cut our stay short due to safety concerns after we had an intruder on our 3rd night at the villa. My young family was very traumatized after the event. The villa did provide security afterwards but we didn’t go on holiday to be under 12 hour security and padlocked gates so felt it best if we moved to a different location. The villa has refused to refund any money for the remainder of the 7 days we were supposed to be there. Due to their failings of ensuring customer safety, I feel some compensation should be in order. We also had constant power outages during our stay, mostly during the night which further scared our children. The location is terrible, nothing of note with in walking distance, so taxis are a must but the traffic in Canggu is an absolute nightmare and no pavements around the streets. We have been going to Bali for 12 years and this is without doubt the worst villa and worst location we have been to. The villa looks very different from the pictures which left us very deflated when we arrived so be very careful when deciding.
