The Wee Lodge

The location is great, so peaceful and kept our nervous dog free of firework stress.

Being told a plumber was coming for an emergency repair but him arriving half an hr early. How much dust and hair we hoovered up right after arriving. Was so much we even took a picture. Lodge doesn’t seem to be getting thoroughly cleaned that often, doors etc were quite grimy looking. Also other repairs badly needed: loose door handles & toilet roll holder, shower screen repaired with electric tape, hard to operate front door, broken glass in the front garden, shower coming loose off the wall, wonky toilet seat in main bathroom. It’s a lovely place but the list of issues that need professional repairs is too long. Really hope it’s addressed, as we’d come back to enjoy the location again.

The accommodation space was massive so much room to move around. All appliances, utensils ready to use. Accommodation was clean. Local to attractions by car. Site was relaxing and tidy.

It was very spacious, cosy and had everything we needed along with a couple of nice extra touches. The new WiFi was excellent and worked perfectly for when I needed to log onto work.

It was a beautiful and cosy home from home. Everything we could of needed was there. Not only for us but the children too! Very friendly welcome. Beautiful views. Watching the birds on their feeders was wonderful our 2 year old loved watching them too!

Loved everything!

The heating, it was so - wonderful on the snowy days especially. The views, including wonderful hills we walked on and the array of birds and wildlife. All added to the blissful peace and we enjoyed.

Extractor fan in cooker hood still not working despite previous reviews. Couldn’t get WiFi password to be accepted despite us all trying. The lack of a hoover is an issue for longer stays.
