I didn’t realize when we booked this property just how far outside town it was. Unless you had your own car (we didn’t) once you got there you’re basically stuck there. Little to no amenities. Dinner doesn’t start until 7pm. Internet did not work while we were there. Not a place to stay if you have young children.

This hotel was a very interesting stay on our trip but for the right person it’s a good stay. If you are looking for a modern feel then I would not recommend this place for you. This would attract someone who is looking for historical value. Parking is available which is a bonus in this area, breakfast is included and was great and staff was helpful and nice. The property is a 10 minute drive from Monterosso square but you have to drive and parking is limited. Also walking would be difficult and far. Overall we had an okay experience here.

Old but clean, the food was mediocre. The shuttle service was not flexible and a nightmare to arrange.

This simple hotel, nicely located in the montain overlooking Monterosso, is perfect for visiting the cinque terre while avoiding the crouds of the see side. No luxury here, but nothing missing. The shuttle to go down to the village in the morning and back up at the end of the afternoon is very convenient and avoids the hassle of parking there. The restaurant is nice as well (booking advised if one wants to eat outside)

This is a very interesting property for those looking for something different and a piece of history. We found the staff somewhat ‘stiff’. They advertise a shuttle throughout the day to bring clients to and from the village however the options were extremely limited. In fact when we arrived in the village we were told by the driver that no more shuttles were being offered. Luckily we met a lovely Italian family who drove us. When we left we had to pay 50 euros to get to the train station bc we were leaving early morning. Amazing scene from this property. There is a breakfast offered with good choices. Also, very eco friendly but no fans in the rooms during extreme heat ( definitely no AC but we did not expect this) meant poor sleep. Overall, we felt unwelcome in this environment and will definitely not return.
