The location is a beautiful little oasis outside of the business of Ubud. You can really come to take a rest. Be in the garden with Wayan and his family and the animals that call it home. Wayan is the loveliest host. Incredibly humble and kind with a lot of love and wisdom to share when you want him to. The meditations really hit home for me. In a beautiful shrine Wayan guides you through meditation that brings you deeper into yourself and in connection with everything that is in- and outside yourself.

My blanket had a few holes in it from wear and tear.

Wayan and Ema were amazing hosts. We were able to meditate with Wayan and his living Guru. Ema made delicious breakfast each morning. The meditation space was beautiful and calming. The animals brought us so much joy - especially the puppies! We loved our stay and hope to be back one day. Thank you Wayan and Ema xx

Wayan (the host) was extremely helpful and making sure all the time you have everything you need. We could rent there a motorbike for fair price. On the other hand, Wayan helped us extremely in the last morning (6 am) to get to Ubud by waking up his brother (he's a taxi driver) so he could drive us there (Gojek couldn't find a driver)

There were some issues with running water from time to time

This is an exceptional experience. I came to Bali to learn meditation and have been to many courses - however it was Wyan's lessons on suffering that totally elucidated me. I feel deeply grateful to him and his family. their home is so homey and lovely with little puppies and chickens. Ani his wife is a stunning cook and a gorgeous soul. The nightly meditations were beautiful. I'm recommending their home to all I meet. Rooms are humble but there's a fan and a queen bed. The gardens are a joy, lovingly curated. Down the road is the Sunset bar which is a insta style hotel. Make the effort to get there (it's about 20 mins outside of ubud) and feel at home.

Simple and lovely homestay in the rice paddies north of Ubud. The facilities are very basic, but the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. What really made our time here, however, was the incredible hospitality of Wayan and his family. He made us feel at home and helped us with advice, letting us borrow sarongs to visit the temples, renting a scooter, last minute dinner on a rainy day, transport to Lombok, etc. All of this for a very affordable price. An absolute gem.

The showers and hot water could do with a bit of maintenance, but wayan mentioned he was planning to do it.

Wayan and Ema were very kind from the first moment. I got what I was looking for, stay calm and relax. Thanks to Wayan, I could find peace in all those days. My favorite part of the day was every night when Wayan led me to the meditation. I hope I can come back someday. Thanks for every word Wayan; they were spiritual medication. Terima Kasih! Everything was perfect

Arriving at this place felt a bit like coming home. Wayan and his family are such lovely people creating this little oasis just a 20min drive from crowdy Ubud. If you like, you can also meditate with Wayan in the morning or evening. It's just the best thing to start or end your day with. Definitely recommend staying here if you would like to have some peaceful time, felt super comfy and will try to be back.

Bucu hidden guest house is a hidden gem! Especially if you are interested in meditation and mindfulness I can highly recommend to stay there. The location is wonderfully peaceful with a beatiful garden, the room is spacious and clean and, most importantly, Wayan and his wife are incredible hosts. Thank you Wayan for the time I had at your place, I will certainly come back!
