OYO Slap Up Lodge, Leyland Waters Cambridge

Was what was advertised, no breakfast offered and wasn’t clean at all

Simple, clean and comfortable accommodation with very friendly staff and delicious food.

I’m not entirely sure where to start we thought we’d try it as found the name hilarious, the staff were very friendly and showed us to our room but continued to touch the remotes turning the tv on and checking the toilet for toilet roll and kept coming to the room with cups and water, it was very helpful but maybe should have been sorted before especially with the current covid climate less social contact would have been good. The room itself smelt like smoke because it was right by the smoking area and the bathroom looked like it could’ve done with a makeover. We ate at the restaurant which apart from a lack of alcohol the food was very good, the same can’t be said for breakfast which was in a back dirty kitchen where we had to clean up our own cutlery before making any food, we will unlikely be returning though, definitely get what you pay for.

The stay was fine, do not expect luxury, this is far from, but for somewhere to lay your head it is fine. Everything WAS clean. There is not much in the way of conveniences though. The tv is internet only but you do have all the channels on there. The shower works and regulates heat well. Not much in the way of sockets though (2 in the room which have the tv and a kettle). Best thing about the place was convenience for getting about and into Cambridge.

Conveniently located to the north of Cambridge, with plenty of free on site parking. Delicious Indian food from the restaurant. Friendly welcoming staff.

Pleasent property with very friendly staff

This place is awful . I booked 2 double rooms and paid for them . On my arrival I was told I would have to share with my fellow engineer in a twin . When I complained and showed my booking confirmation I was told to either share or find somewhere else .

Unsuitable. On arrival they insisted we pay cash as opposed to card payment, but was then very reluctant to give a receipt.

Had a great time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Found our stay very relaxing and chilled. 😁🌷😁

Muy mal, ya que había reservado e incluso pagado por adelantado y cuando llegamos a la media noche nos dijeron que no tenían más espacio y que no nos podían recibir. Esa noche para nosotros fué un gran problema para nosotros ya que nos costó mucho trabajo para encontrar otro hotel.
