Beautiful area to stay and enjoy the Great Wall

The facilities and staff were great. However, the disposable amenities and food were questionable

What an impressive hotel. The building is impressive. From the moment the driver met us at the airport to is arriving at the front desk, we were met with the kindest and most welcoming smiles. A welcome relief from our previous hotel. As a good member I was offered an upgrade of my room, but they also extended this to my friend and his room who was travelling with me. We were then offered a further upgrade to suits for a small fee per day, and we took it, as it is a “Suite in Bajing”, a story we can tell later. The room was impressive. Lovely and big. But this is where the fun stopped. We were tired and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. It was very bad. Having experienced the wonderful cuisine here in china for the last week, this was a massive let down. We could only take a few bytes and then left it. When returning to the room, we were told there is problems with our account, but after a chat with reception in person, there was never a problem. Internet. What internet? There is WiFi, but no internet on it. Frustrating when I a, trying to book the next day’s activity. But my biggest let down, the bed. The linen was hard and scratching. The bed was very uncomfortable. If there is one thing in my book, that a hotel should be great at, is a comfortable bed, and comfortable bedding. Both they have failed on here. And for a 4.5* hotel, very disappointing. Great and wonderful staff, that are truly amazing, but they are being let down by faulty rooms and furnishings. It is my hope that after my feedback, they would action these fixes.

The hotel is beautiful and new, with large, comfortable rooms and great bathrooms. The physical hotel is truly first class!

The staff is very sub par and not worthy of the Hilton brand. We have a long list of issues with the staff across multiple areas and I cannot recommend anyone stay at this hotel due to how poor the service is.

Thank you Hilton Beijing Tongzhou for making our stay extra special. From the moment we stepped out to entering the lobby, check in and in room experience; everything was perfect. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a passionate team of hoteliers in China and Hilton Beijing Tongzhou definitely make it to my “must return” visit if I do decide to go to Universal studios. Kudos to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Thank you!
