Caswell Resort

Was such a pretty resort lovely property the room was very nice. They had kayaks and canoes for our use and the staff were great

Great property and location! Right on the beach! So much stuff to do on the resort, beach with sandy and clean waters, free non motorized boats and life jackets to use, indoor pool, restaurant on site, volleyball/ badminton net with grass court, fire pits right on the beach. It was honestly so good for the price! Not to mention there is a public park next door with play structures and splash pad for the kids. We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was way bigger than expected, with a patio out back, abs we we only like 20 feet from the water. Fantastic, we plan on returning for sure!

Beautiful beach, use of canoes, paddle boat and kayaks. Indoor pool and workout room. Peaceful location. You can tell the new owners are trying to restore it. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. We extended our stay by 2 days and would love to book again one day!

There are not a ton of options in the area and the Caswell Resort is a good option. They have been working hard in the last few years to get it into better shape. It's a great location, walking distance to all the stores and restaurants in the area. We did like the access to the lake (which included the use of canoes and kayak). They also have a pretty good outdoor area with picnic tables, bbqs and chairs.

It is very dated, the furniture and linens are cheap and uncomfortable. While sitting in the room, we could hear the mice running across the ceiling tiles. No bathtub. There are other cabins are not linked to the hotel, so you have to go outside to access the pool and hot tub. We didn’t use it for the reason. I’m sad about this, as I went there to reminisce as I spent my 11 birthday there for a pool party.

I chose this hotel because of the indoor pool. However, during my stay, I found that the pool heating system was not working. The water and the pool area were so cold that it was impossible to use the pool.
