11 out of 10. Excellent spacious, clean and well maintained classic Japanese ryokan for family-size stays. Impeccable facilities, all necessities and wifi - check! Flexible, understanding and friendly owner (thank you!). Atmospheric and memorable place with pleasant light, equipped kitchen, convinient bus stop 15 sec walk from the house and spacious parking space - definitely a place to stay in Kawaguchi for the best Mt Fuji experience.

Feels like living in a local japanese house.

The parking area is kind of dark, difficult to park at night.

The host was great in communicating about the check-in process and other questions I had about driving in the area. Everything in the house was as advertised. Bathroom was modern and clean. Every other area of the house gave a great feeling of staying in a traditional Japanese house. I had a car and the dedicated parking space right next to door made it easy to transfer the plenty of luggage I had. The area is peaceful and yet close to Kawaguchiko town. 2 night stay felt very short and I would love to come back!

How convenient it was, very affordable, comfortable and very WELL equipped. Big clean space great for family stay and warm too.

The only downside was around the kitchen area/toilet there was this bad smell. However the smell didn't reach the bedrooms so that was good..

The door is a bit difficult to open and lock

We wanted to experience staying on a traditional ryokan near Mount Fuji a this was the best choice. Very spacious house with attention to detail. The interior was gorgeous and we had a great time there. Definitely recommend staying!

Authentic old japanese house. Quiet location somewhat outside the central town.
