Ashansa Lagoon Resort

The room is big, new and modern and I really liked it. You have a stunning view on the lake. In the bed you sleep well like a baby:) The service is great, we rented a scooter and there are bicycles and canoes for free. The turtle beach is a 5 min walk and there a good restaurants pretty close. Breakfast is nice with a lot of fruits and toast and egg.

Arrived in the night but confirmed booking was not honoured. Single staffer with bad attitude aggressively told us that mistakes happen and told us to go find another place, which was very hard to do at that time of the night. Our driver told him this is not the way to treat visitors who are now returning to the country bringing badly needed foreign exchange to support its ruined economy.

This was one of our favorite places during our trip to Sri Lanka. The rooms are huge, very clean and everything seems really new. The owner is very nice and helpful and the breakfast is great with a great view of the lagoon. If you like birds we saw both eagles and peacocks during our stay here. You are around a 5 min walk from the beach and besides the restaurant on the property there are some good restaurants around.

Nothing

The location is remote and a 5 minute walk to the best unspoilt long beach in Sri Lanka. The property is clean with good rooms. Peaceful and the guy was so helpful. It’s also near the turtle watch station.

WiFi goes in and out constantly and stops working. Electricity went off in the morning ( this also happened at one other place I stayed at. So power cuts happen. Rooms smell damp but many do in Sri Lanka.

It was an absolutely amazaing accommodation. Great and cozy place with a nice view. The room was large and clean. The staff was kind and the owner made us a delicious breakfast (papaya smoothie was fantastic). If we come to Sri Lanka again, we would definitely come and stay here more than one night :-)

The best hotel I've ever been to. Lakshitha is the sweetest and most accommodating host. He cooked us the fish we caught on the lagoon. He told us when to go to the nearby beach to see turtles. Huge and very clean room, bathroom and terrace. Delicious food. A beautiful garden. I strongly recommend.
