Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a nonrefundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a nonrefundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival. Failure to complete either step may result in being denied access to the property and forfeiting the rental without refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Refunds are determined by cancelation policies, and in addition, SPCR charges a 5% cancelation fee over the total booking amount or a minimum of USD 75 and added 13%, plus any applicable merchant fees. This will be withheld from any refund on a deposit. Refunds will be processed to the credit card on file, or via wire transfer if deposit was made by wire transfer. SPCR recommends travel insurance to cover any unforeseeable contingencies.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.

"La administración del lugar pésima , varias cosas dañadas falta mucho mantenimiento."

La ubicación

Literal nos sacaron a las 10am y pensamos era 11am y entraron a limpiar con jeta tras cosas ahí aún. Falta manteniendo el lugar está muy entraron ruina.

"Estadía increíble"

El alojamiento es muy cómodo y bonito, es mucho más lindo de como se ve en las fotos. La cercanía con la playa a solo unos pasos del alojamiento hace que este lugar sea increíble, con vistas espectaculares al mar, me encantó, hacen que el lugar sea ideal para relajarse y desconectarse de todo. Es de fácil acceso y cerca de muchos restaurantes y muchas playas. Sin dudas volvería a hospedarme aquí.

"Great place, costly check-in, check-out procedure"

Location and actual staff members were great!

HATED the unexpected but required fees to check in online ($15!) and to check out ($30!). Will not come here again because of them. Waste of money for no real services. We only had sporadic access to the internet before we got there and could not complete the required forms online. Had to find the Special Places offices and get human help to check in. Why isn't there an option to avoid the fees and check in in person? If there is, why isn't it published?

"Location is the best, just a few steps from the beach."

The beds and pillows are not very comfortable. The sliding doors to the beach are hard to open and close.

"A beautiful view of a beautiful place"

the location to collect the keys was easy to find and a staff member brought us over to the condo to make sure we found it okay and were able to get in. They showed us where everything was located and how things worked. the view was amazing and we had access to a small beach right out our door. the patio was screened in so we could enjoy the weather without the bugs.

the kitchen was pretty bare minimum, no cooking oil or measuring cups, a knife sharpening stone would be really useful to keep there. the chairs we a bit uncomfortable, and there were no wash cloths in the bathrooms. these small things would improve the quality of the stay.
