The location and setting is quiet and beautiful and close to town

A heat pump would have given our stay a 10/10. Being all wood, when it was a hot day, it got very hot inside and the next day it rained and we had to light the fire to keep warm.

It was a good location although not quite as close to town as we'd hoped. Parking was good.

The notes about cleanup were heavy handed. The place was too warm - no fans available other than a very high ceiling fan that didn't help much. While it's pretty with all the wood, it creaked throughout the night when the wind blew - loudly enough to be disruptive for sleeping. No coffee or tea provided. The notes about cleaning were very intrusive and made us uncomfortable during our stay for fear of dropping a crumb and missing it while vacuuming. It was unclear about what to do with the laundry after we stripped the beds. We definitely didn't feel welcome.
