Hamari Haveli

best place to stay in Jaisalmer. Bhanu bhai went out of his way to make us comfortable.

Hamari haveli is a quaint little home in middle of a "mohalla" that gives you the best of Jaisalmer neighbourhood living and is super cosy. Bhanu ji, the host is a worldly wise chatty person who can tell you all about Rajasthan if you get talking to him. He is kind and makes every effort to make your stay nice. The roof and the day bed on the roof, the courtyard in middle of the house is charming. Stayed with 2 kids and my husband, all enjoyed the stay. All the local attractions are near by and food is great.

Location is very hard to find and reach and hosts assist you in reaching there. The neighbourhood is also noisy with a lot of litter around but the house and hosts make up for it.

Only a small distance away from the Golden fortress, Gopa Chowk bajjar and hippy vibes thereof, and conveniently placed at the corner of a quadrangle that can be used for parking, Hamari Haveli is a Gem. A collaboration of a local polyglot gentleman and a French partner well-known over the Jaisalmer town, the hotel is a kind of home away from home, with old marvels of the property retained and modern amenities like air condition, internet and geyser added to the Haveli. There was a slight miscommunication between the brand-holders and the unit-proprietor regarding the booking, which the proprietor promptly solved and assured us with warm hospitality, in fact very warm. He also guided us into "how to" at important nodal points of Desert and Fort travel.
