Yala Golden Wild

Kasun, der Manager hat uns sehr herzlich Empfangen. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und bereits nach einer Nacht unseren Aufenthalt verlängert. Man kann direkt im Hotel eine Safari buchen. Die Unterkunft ist gepflegt und das riesige Bett ist sehr bequem. Unser Zimmer war im 1. Stock und hatte einen Balkon. Tolle Dusche mit heißem Wasser und ordentlichen Wasserdruck. Super Badetücher für Bad und Pool. Das Wifi war schnell und hat einwandfrei im Zimmer und am Pool funktioniert. Der Pool ist groß und die Sonnenliegen sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich mit frischen Früchten und es sind keine Wünsche offen geblieben. Es gibt eine Speisekarte mit unterschiedlichen Gerichten und großer Auswahl. Wir haben am Nachmittag unser Dinner vorbestellt und zur vereinbarten Zeit ein leckeres Abendessen erhalten. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum, den See erreicht man in Kürze. Einige Restaurants sind rundherum und trotz der ruhigen Umgebung ist man relativ schnell in der Stadt, wo man alles bekommt. Wir würden wieder kommen und empfehlen die Unterkunft gerne weiter. Yala Golden Wild is a hidden gem in the heart of Tissamaharama. The availability of super spacious en suite family rooms is ideal for families/ large groups. To add to the above, Kasun and his family are incredible hosts - True Sri Lankan hospitality, warmth and breakfast prepared with love - it was one of the best we’ve had in the area in quite some time. A spread of string hoppers, bread, pol rotti, accompanied with dhal, pol sambol, and a perfectly cooked Sri Lankan chicken curry was an absolute treat. We’ll definitely be back.

Camera molto spaziosa e pulita, piscina bella e comoda per passare una mattinata con i bambini. Colazione super abbondante e varia, ci è piaciuta molto. Soddisfatta di aver prenotato qui.

Lovely hotel, pleasant staff, and very convenient location for safari.

Very disappointed with this hotel - we booked 2 nights unfortunately. Room was ok but lots of flies & bugs. Tv didn’t work with a message saying the bill had not been paid. Offers a restaurant but it’s just tables in reception & food cooked badly by receptionist. Breakfast wasn’t good either. No alcohol, the guy drove off & came back with 2 cans of warm beer. Has potential to be nice but poorly run. Location is rural, you need a car

Fantastic stay, great pool and plenty of space in our room, hotel is a little bit tired but definitely sufficient for our stay. Best part was our hosts were super friendly and tried to go above and to make sure we had a perfect stay. We booked our safari through them and our guide was excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay here and booking safari with them as our guide knew exactly where to spot the animals and we saw so many where others we spoke to didnt get to see much. He was definitely knowledgeable and made the trip super enjoyable for the 12 hours we were in the jeep. We totally booked this hotel on other recommendations and it was totally worth it.

Brilliant guest house, with pool! We saw langur monkeys whilst in the pool, huge bats flying off from the lake and a monitor lizard on the way back from lunch. The owner and his family were incredibly helpful and booked us a full day safari. We have done a few safaris and this was the best we have ever taken, the driver Tharusha and his assistant worked incredibly hard, had very good knowledge both of species and habitat which paid off as after waiting quietly for probably 40 minutes the driver spotted the tip of a leopard's tail slightly sticking out of a bush. We were the only people in that area of the park to see the leopard so close, about 2 meters away, on our own, for a good 15 minutes before the rest of the world arrived. I recommend you book through the hotel.

The owners are very nice and accommodating to help with transport and safari. The room was basic but clean and tidy.
