Washington House

My fiance and I stayed here for four nights, we wanted a place that was outside of the busy cities but not too far from key destinations. Narim is a perfect location, and Washington House is the perfect place to stay. With only two guest rooms you get a very home-like feel. Arthur and his wife are the best hosts, inviting and warm and not to mention Connie the beautiful dog who made our stay so much more warm. They both are willing to give you any advice on destinations to go to with loads of information to go with them. The room was beautiful and large with a beautiful large bathroom. The best part in both our opinions was the fabulous breakfast we had every morning. There are a wide range of options but do not miss out on the cooked breakfasts Arthur makes himself, there was not one thing I tried that I did not love! I would come here just for his breakfasts if I could. Also do not forget to try the ice shop down the street or the Fish Tacos on the beach. Arthur will tell you all about it!

Breakfast was great, host was great and very flexible. I got milk when I arrived :)

I wish the breakfast table wasn’t joined as I quite like having time to myself without conversation in the morning.

Washington House is the best B&B we’ve ever had the immense pleasure of staying in. We were greeted with a warm welcome, the house is beautiful and our room was lovely and spotless. Aileen and Arthur are truly wonderful hosts; Arthur’s breakfasts were nothing short of delectable and were, along with his morning chats with us, amongst the highlights of our memorable holiday in Scotland. We couldn’t recommend Washington House highly enough.

Washington house is the most wonderful place you could ever stay in. The hosts and their welcome and local knowledge along with the sublime breakfast and beautiful accommodation make this amazing! The location is fantastic and Nairn itself is such a lovely place ❤️

We had a fantastic stay at Washington House. This is one of the nicest B&Bs we have ever stayed at! The location is great; Nairn makes a great base to explore the Scottish Highlands and the area around Loch Ness. The house is beautiful, with wonderful artistic touches everywhere. It looks even better than the pictures! And the bed is super comfortable! Our hosts, Arthur and Aileen, were so warm and welcoming. We really appreciated their tips of what to see in the area. And finally, and best of all, we loved the food. Arthur’s gourmet breakfasts are now the gold standard for all future stays. :)

the house was very very tastefully decorated and furnished...the breakfast although served in a cold room was delicious .

the house was freezing...at breakfast a small electric blower was blowing as a back up to the warm central heating.we wore coats and scarves to keep warm . the bedroom was a large room with a small warm radiator....freezing as well.

There are so many’s things I could say about how wonderful this places is. Arthur, Aileen and Connie were very welcoming, and great hosts. We felt so at home and spoilt. The room & house has a luxurious feel to it, the bed was so comfortable, we had a great sleep here. We left relaxed and refreshed after our stay. If you get the chance book this bnb do it, it’s was highlight of our stays in Scotland.

A beautiful home, eclectic décor, interesting and helpful hosts. Wish we’d stayed longer. Among the loveliest and comfortable B’n’Bs we have seen. Fantastic breakfast too!

One of the most comfy and beautiful B&Bs we ever stayed in. Arthur is the perfect host and makes an amazing breakfast. Truly a gem with tasteful decorations in a beautiful mansion. Stay here if you can!

The environment was warm, welcoming and luxurious. A house of considerable history, heritage and splendour.

There is nothing to dislike. Convenient to the town, beach, harbour and lovely walks.
