Rainbow Bay Beach & Dive Resort

Boathouse was a perfect place, coukd sleep six, we had four, private and fun place for couples or friends.

Absolutely everything, I was only able to stay for 2 of the 4 nights but they said they owe me 2 nights if ever I return. I will definitely be back. The staff were so friendly and helpful in every way. The accomodation was just perfect and so peaceful. Ten star's from me.

There was nothing not to like 😊

Good facilities, nice pool, beach front, large areas of grass to sit with trees for shading. Ability to park rented motorbike outside room. Generator for brownouts. Snorkelling ok from beach but shallow so had to walk out about 250 meters, plenty of things to see in the deeper water. English movies on TV.

Laundry service was a little more expensive than other places visited as they charge on an itemised basis rather than weight.

A beautiful resort, not necessarily for everyone. You will get geckos in your room but this is part of the charm. Lovely staff, great food and a little beach a few metres away I also had a small veranda

The location was good for the port, but quite a long tuk tuk ride to san juan and the main beaches

The resort has a peaceful beachside location, and the staff were friendly and accommodating once we arrived. Breakfast was good value and tasty, and we appreciated the extra touches like premade sandwiches to take with us and a free trike transfer to the port, which made our departure smooth and stress-free. Though brief, the stay felt welcoming overall.

Communication before arrival was disappointing. Our late check-out request sent via Booking.com was never answered, so we had to make a special trip to the resort in person to get clarity. Ultimately, the late check-out wasn’t possible as the room was booked the following night — understandable, but a reply would’ve saved us the trip. The room itself was adequate for one night, though not the cleanest — thick dust was on the top of the topsheet from what I presume the air conditioner. Thankfully, the ceiling fan worked better than the air conditioner for air circulation and comfort.

I'm very meticulous with comfort rooms so I was very happy to see how spacious and clean their CR was.

Soundproofing though, is another story. I can clearly hear the voices from the other room

The service is good.

The food is a little bit pricey.
