Domaine Les Crayeres

Absolutely amazing - we keep on returning - the service, the people, the food and in total the full experience is excellent.

Beautiful property and rooms. Exceptionally clean. Would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Perfectly located within walking distance of Veuve Clicquot, Pommery, and downtown Reims, this establishment offers an enchanting setting that feels like a dream come true. The attentive staff, renowned for their politeness and profound knowledge of the region's history, go above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable experience.

It is a beautiful property, but keep in mind the kind of people who will be staying in a place that costs usually $700-1100 a night: pretentious and less pleasant. The culture may not be what you have in mind. Also, we paid $100 for a club sandwich and two glasses of Champagne at their bar when we wanted a light snack. It was gorgeous but there is not much to do in the hotel. In addition, when booking, be sure to note that you are in the main hotel, not cottage. It costs the exact same and you feel like a third class citizen who is not good enough to stay in main hotel. They werent responsible for this issue, but when you are booking, just double check. Also, and perhaps this is an issue all over France, but is hard to get the front desk to help with things like reservations. Ultimately, they helped, which I am thankful for, but they were unwilling to call Veuve for us because “they had not made the booking.” So if i have any advice, have them make all your booking so they can then feel responsible to help you with them. All this said, there is a lovely older woman with a short bob cut that was kind to us all the way through. Merci to her.

Les Crayeres is a beautiful property. Elegant and luxurious without being too stuffy. The entire team is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The concierge team were very responsive and were able to book most of our requests. It isn’t inexpensive; you get what you pay for. We are at Le Jardin and had a lovely meal. We at at Le Parc which was a different story. I’ll message the restaurant to explain in more detail but we were less than pleased. It was the one hiccup in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Exceptionnel

Stay was great. Food was exceptional. Service was poor. I expected better service in such a highly rated restaurant. Staff seemed overworked with little attention to detail. For example we asked for tea after dinner, they showed us the options and then placed the tea bags on the table and brought us hot water to infuse the tea ourselves. Waiting for service took long. We waited 30 mins from the time we were done to when we received our bill.
