Orient Beach Hotel

Room is spacious

air conditioning had some noise. We changed rooms and fridge was not working properly, it was all wet. Beach is not beautiful and clean in front of the hotel.

The staff was friendly, excellent customer service.

The property and location is excellent, ocean front and reasonable. The problem is that "sorgasm" floating islands of seaweed covers the beaches for months of the year and tourists don't know it and then can't use the beach at all.

Excellent friendly staff with a great location for what we wanted, which was quite and safe. Too many good food options, views were great. Nothing we can do about seaweed though, which they did tell us about before we booked.

Nice hotel on a wonderful location but there are some things that have to be improved. Rooms nice, spacious and all with nice views. Staff is kind. But: - although breakfast was included in the booking, it was not mentioned that it included only very limited options. Only bread, some fruit and croissants and filter coffee was included. If you wanted eggs, pancakes or nice coffee, big surcharges had to be paid. How can you call this “including breakfast”? - in the hotel information was mentioned that sunbeds at the beach were included. What they don’t mention is that you can only use second row or further back. Front row is for external paying customers. Very weird. - during this time, large amounts of sargassum seaweed is present in orient bay which is annoying while swimming and produces bad smell. This was not mentioned when booking rooms. - most of the staff was on holiday for the fist part of our stay so nothing, except for breakfast, was open. This was also not mentioned.

The hotel is super well located and rooms are beautiful. The attention to detail is superb. The employees are so helpfull and always very pleasent.

Everything

The hotel is on the beach with a beautiful view of the water and an almost constant breeze. Everything is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. My husband and I will stay here again when we return to Saint Martin.

My wife and I chose Orient Beach Hotel after several recommendations from different Facebook groups. We were extremely happy with our choice. The staff answered my pre-visit emails promptly and were very patient. In person, they were even more accommodating. The property is clean, well-kept, and ideally located. It's a short walk to the Village of restaurants with L'Atelier being our favorite. It's also a short walk to another of the best French restaurants, L'Astrolabe. The hotel is right on the beach and we started each day with a 1.5 mile walk just after sunrise. Then we took advantage of our free passes to the Wai outdoor gym where my wife took exercise classes and I worked out -- then on for pastries. The hotel includes free beach chairs at three spots, and we used Wai the most but also KonTiki. The room was clean, with a balcony overlooking the ocean and beach; a decent sized bathroom and large shower. All in all, we cannot wait to make our return!
