Hotel Plaza Real La Paz

We were aware the bar noise that went on after 3:30. However, early in the morning they started construction right next to our room and it was very loud.

The property is older but has air conditioner that works great, it is in a great location near the malecon and bus terminal to get on the playabus that takes you to the beaches

Staff are friendly and helpful. The area is full of restaurants and stores. Very close to the Malecon, easy walk. I stayed on a Friday and the club nearby was rocking until the early morning hours. If you're into that good, if you want to sleep not so much. Bring earplugs.

Great location for restaurants and bars. I can't blame the hotel for the noise, as they are in the middle of everything, but the noise was certainly not disclosed. I prepaid for two nights, and the management made me change rooms after the first night. Due to the music and bar noise until after 3:30am, I chose to stay elsewhere, and they were accommodating with a partial refund. Be advised, no elevator.

The owner of hotel charged me for 12 night stay. He said he couldn’t put the money back on my card. That he would wire transfer it. I gave him all my bank info. He was a liar a d a thief. Since I paid at hotel nothing hotel.com could do. The owner is a thief.

The property is quite dilapidated but clean and comfortable if you just need an economical place to stay. There is NETFLIX, free bottles of water and AC if you want it. The staff are very friendly. The adjacent restaurant is excellent for breakfast - big servings and good value - fruit salad was especially good. It is located just off the Malecón and close to the bus station. Downside is just the very old fittings and the showers that take ages for warm water to arrive! Can be a bit noisey as there are bars and restaurants all around.
