Riad Zouhour

Schönes Riad mit Dachterrasse und schönem Patio. Gutes marokkanisches Frühstück mit Omelette, Kuchen, Marmelade, frischem Obst und Joghurt. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit.

We booked a meal at the riad because we would be arriving late. The only person there spoke no English. The food was disgraceful for what we paid. A lamb tagine that consisted of vegetables and literally a forkful of meat. The rest was fat and gristle. We complained but the guy didn’t understand and so I communicated our distraction to the owner through the App. The room was very badly located on a staircase with no room to manoeuvre inside. The room was so narrow that you had to climb in from the end of the bed. We asked for a train room but got a double bed and asked for a twin. After some argument as to whether I had made such a request through booking.com they said they would arrange it. I asked when it might be do we could pack it bags and move. So they would do was to separate the beds which literally meant that there would be about three inches between the beds! I asked for another room. I then received a phone call from the owner and he said that I was a liar and that there was nothing wrong with the food. He then began to berate me over the room saying I called him a liar and that the room size was stipulated in the advert. This is true I must confess however the photos were such that they gave the impression of a much larger room. I told him that in the UK, when someone complains, the customer is always right (even when we are wrong). Rather this man showed at me I told him I was not prepared to listen saved out the phone down. He then called me back and told us to vacate the riad. What a horrible experience. We had to find alternative accommodation for the remaining four nights and pay again for accommodation. This kind of behaviour is atrocious and this kind of person has no right to operate accommodation for rental when they have zero customer service relations experience. Here was ignorant man who ruined our holiday. Never again.

The breakfast

The room size and location in a staircase. The evening meal was extremely poor and we complained. The next thing the owner called and said that I was a liar. I told him that the customer is always right, even when he is wrong. He told us to leave the property. This was the rudest person I ever spoke to with no idea about customer service. What a horrible man.

L’insonorisation n’est pas géniale, nous entendions beaucoup le bruit de la rue (qui était occasionnel car le Riad est situé dans une rue calme)

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The location is excellent and even though it’s right in the center the place is so peaceful with only the sound of birds. The room and decor is beautiful and the rooftop is perfect for taking a break from the busy city. The staff are fantastic and the owner really made us feel at home and made sure our stay was perfect. I tried a massage in their beautiful massage room and fully recommend this. Thank you for the fantastic stay in your beautiful place.

Alojamiento perfecto para alojarse en el centro de la Medina. Gracias especialmente a Bernard y a Brahim por su hospitalidad. Comida también riquísima.
