What an amazing stay… a beautiful and intimate hotel. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Most importantly the staff was incredible and so kind. We loved Niki at the front desk, she was amazing!! We hope to be back again soon :)

We did not get the room we order - a family room 30 sqm but instead a tiny standart room - with a terrible smell of sewers and mold that was really bad - we try to find a other hotel in the area. Case Irene is a lovely hotel with the most hospitable staff. It is based 5 minutes from Falsarana beach and 15 minutes from Kissamo beach. The front reception was super helpful with check in and local recommendations. Housekeeping were very efficient and the breakfast service was very nice. We loved our stay!

After reading some negative comments about the hotel we we're a bit insecure whether to book. But in the end, it was the perfect choice and we had a wonderful time at Casa d'Irene. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Check-in was very smooth and fast. We booked a classic room and asked for a room with daylight. The room was quite spacious (more than enough space for two people with two large suitcases) and it was almost new. We really liked the nice, modern design of the room. We even got some cookies and Raki as a welcome gift. The only small inconvenient was that the room was opposite to the reception. But it turned out that this was not really a problem. We were never bothered by other people talking in the reception. Concerning the parking situation, there is the possibility to park in the streets next to the hotel or at a parking lot in 1 minute walking distance. We did not encounter any problems to enter the parking lot. Platanos is a picturesque small village. There are many very good restaurants close to the hotel. The wonderful Falassarna beach is only a 10 minutes drive away. And Casa d'Irene is also ideally located to explore other beautiful spots on the island of Crete (like for example Elafonisi beach, Balos beach, Paleochora, Samaria gorge, Chania, etc.). This was our first stay on the island of Crete, but we will come back for sure!

Mooie locatie in een rustig dorpje. Het is hier absoluut niet toeristisch. Kamers zien er keurig uit. Helaas hadden wij gedacht dat alle kamers aan het zwembad lagen. Helaas was dat niet zo. Ontbijt is ook prima

Sehr nettes Personal und jeden Tag leckeres Frühstück. Toller Poolbereich mit Sonnenterrasse, leider mit einer nervigen Taubenplage aus der Nachbarschaft. Im Zimmer hat ab und an der Abfluss gerochen. Klasse ist die Möglichkeit selbst im Zimmer zu kochen.

Posizione strategica: è a 10 minuti di macchina dalla spiaggia di Falasarna, a 50 minuti (20km) dalla Laguna di Balos e a un'oretta e un quarto da Elafonisi. Hotel piccolino, spazi comuni un po' troppo "compatti", ma camera molto ampia e comoda (letto comodo, cucinotto, tavolo penisola e sgabelli, tavola da stiro, e fon potente). Il personale è gentile, la colazione come varietà e qualità è conforme allo standard di un hotel a 4 stelle. Punti negativi: - Pulizia: durante il nostro soggiorno di 6 notti è consistita esclusivamente nel cambio biancheria. Non hanno mai passato la scopa o l'aspirapolvere; alla fine il bagno era sommerso dai capelli e dalla sabbia che inevitabilmente abbiamo portato su dalla spiaggia, e non hanno mai rifatto il letto. Nel nostro bagno (al piano di sotto) in alcuni momenti della giornata c'era una terribile puzza di fogna. - Colazione: Non c'è una sala dedicata alla ristorazione, per cui la colazione viene servita in terrazza, il che nelle giornate di fine settembre, inizio ottobre non è sempre il massimo. Una volta ha fatto particolarmente fresco e una volta abbiamo trovato i tavoli e i cuscini delle sedie fradice dell'umidità della notte e della condensa che sgocciolava dagli ombrelloni. Inoltre, l'orario della colazione è dalle 8:30. Inizia un po' tardino, per questo, noi per esempio, per arrivare presto ad Elafonisi e a Balos, due volte l'abbiamo dovuta anche saltare. - Cuscini: sembrano rimediati, sono scomodi e tutti diversi tra di loro
