Rainbow Courts

Our May 2024 stay in the Rainbow Court was relaxing, comfortable, and very enjoyable. I enjoyed talking to our host Dan, who was very helpful and informative. The King room we stayed in had perhaps the most comfortable mattress I’d ever slept on. We can park in front of our room, which faces a beautiful garden/sitting area. No stairs to navigate. No breakfast is served, but they do supply coffee, delicious muffins, and homemade cider beginning at 0600 daily. There are many good restaurants a short drive away. We truly enjoyed our stay in this historic 100-year-old auto court and would stay here again if in the Rockdale area.

The room dehumidifier was a bit noisy at night, but as it was effective and much appreciated, the trade-off was worth it.

We have stayed at several hotels/motels in the Rockdale area, but Rainbow Courts is by far the best. The cottages are quiet, cute, and very very clean. The grounds are decorated and full of affectionate cats. There was spiced cider in the office. The owners were knowledgeable of the area. We travel back to Rockdale a couple of times a year, and will only stay here.

I LOVE this place. It is like stepping back in time, in a wonderful way. Cute, quaint, comfortable room. Great bed. Cold air. I had a small refrigerator, coffee maker, desk, tv and microwave in my room. Everything you need for a great stay. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

It was very clean, and the air conditioner worked great. It had a wonderful homey atmosphere...perfect for two people. Loved the court yard, and the price was very reasonable!

The bathroom plumbing...very slow to drain. Also, the coffee pot was not compatible with the coffee maker.

Finding a unique property with excellent reviews in the little town of Rockdale Texas was delightful! This retreat spot is over 100 years old. A comfortable room with king size bed, tv, microwave and frig and coffee maker was all we needed. However, coffee and apple cider and homemade muffins were served in the office. Before dinner at a recommended restaurant, we relaxed on the beautiful lawn in Adirondack chairs. Our only thought was how soon can we get back here for a longer stay!

Really lovely independent hotel with a beautiful lawn and comfortable, well decorated rooms. Coffee and homemade muffins for breakfast were great. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

From start to finish our stay was exceptional! I usually stay in Taylor but decided to try Rainbow Courts out and I'm glad I did!! It was absolutely exactly what we needed for a nice little break. The room was very cozy, the grounds was beautiful and peaceful and the owners were so nice! Even giving us a tour of the property!! Fresh home-baked muffins, fruit and coffee every morning. It was so quite and cozy I didn't want to leave. Will absolutely stay here every time I'm in the area from now on!

There's nothing I would improve on. It was perfect!

Comfortable and friendly. Sat out front on a rainy morning (after a full night’s sleep in a comfy bed) with my book, a cup of coffee, and the neighborhood cat listening to the thunder rumbling in. A delightful morning and a delightful stay.
