One of the nicest b&b I have ever visited. I definitely recommend this place and we will come back.

Très bel établissement avec des chambres modernes et propres. Nous avons été très bien reçus par notre hôte qui nous a donné des conseils pour la visite des alentours et les repas du soir. Le déjeuner est préparé tous les matins par l’hôte également.

Our stay with Lucia was lovely! We had a wonderful time and it’s the perfect place to stay to enjoy lake Como. Lucia is really helpful and kind. I truly recommend this place!

Amazing property Amazing and helpful owners

Lucia et son mari sont des hôtes très charmants, la passion et le partage se ressentent dès votre arrivée. Ils vous donneront de nombreux conseils sur les visites et restaurants en fonction de la durée de votre séjour. Que dire ensuite sur le lieu... Rien ne manque, tout est décoré avec goût, l'élégance de la dolce vitæ. Parking privé, vélo, scooter vespa sur place. Gare ferroviaire à 2min à pied, bateaux à 5min. Petit déjeuner ultra complet, difficile de faire mieux. La personne qui ne mettra pas 10/10 est vraiment un chipoteur ou un détracteur...

We’ve never stayed anywhere with such a friendly welcome and wonderfully helpful service. Unassuming from the outside, the beautifully kept house has a delightful garden - where a first-class breakfast is served (including a delicious home-made each day). Lucia genuinely couldn’t have been more attentive, with advice on what to do in the area, snd happily making (or in our case cancelling) restaurant reservations. Our room, with two connecting bedrooms, was spotless, very comfortable, and had particularly welcome air-con. Perhaps because Mandello del Lario isn’t one of the main tourist towns, it’s all remarkable value for money: if you thought it was impossible to visit Lake Como on a budget, think again. We would t hesitate to return. The pretty town centre is only a short walk away, with a fantastic lakeside lido. The train station is almost directly across the road.

I stayed here for the second time. No better place to stay in Mandello and in the region. Arriving at Lucia & Luca's place is like arriving home. Excellent hospitality, services, breakfast etc. Push bikes were already available but now they have their own Vespa rental, CORTI RENTAL. What do you want more???

We stayed at the B&B Residenza Laurum for two nights as a couple and had a really great time. Lucia was always nearby and had a lot of great tips for us which made the planning of our trip a lot easier! We happily made use of her bikes and spent the day in Varenna which really is a bit nicer than Bellagio ;) we were also very excited about the breakfast Lucia prepared, she offered local products, a homemade cake, fresh fruits and everything to start the day right. Wifi was working fine and when we weren’t out, it was a nice option to stay on the patio outside close to the idyllic garden. I would recommend this B&B anytime :)

Lucia and her family have made a lovely b&b in a beautiful part of the world. Lucia makes delicious breakfasts, and was super kind and helpful, giving us lots of information about where to eat, what to do and secret swimming spots nearby. Would highly recommend and I’m sure we’ll be back at some point in the future!

Having stayed at residenza laurum a few months before my wedding, I cannot explain what a relief myself and my husband found it to be. As well as being beautiful, spacious and having all of the amenities you would hope for (air con, wifi, etc) there were so many extras included. The atmosphere upon arrival and at breakfast each morning was always relaxing, warm and welcoming. The b&b is stunning and we were very relieved to be able to park our rental car in a secure gated property. Upon going down for breakfast on the first morning, Lucia (the most amazing host and all round wonderful lady) presented us with plenty of options-including a vegan breakfast cake she had baked herself! I was so surprised as I always struggle to find vegan options in Italy but Lucia reminded me that I had mentioned on the booking form that I was a vegan. The fact she took the time and energy to bake a cake to accommodate my dietary needs speaks volumes about the kind of host she is. She is very kind hearted and makes customer satisfaction a priority. There had been an accident on the main road on the day we were supposed to meet the priest and the wedding planner. She helped us to avoid being late by finding an alternative route-saving us hours of being stuck in traffic. We loved our stay so much that during our wedding week, I made sure several of our relatives booked to stay with Lucia-they all would have if they could! My brother and sister in law stayed with my niece. Lucia went into her attic and brought out a wide array of toys for her to play with that belonged to her own children. She also lent them bicycles to explore mandello. She was so helpful to me even after I had left the accommodation. Being a local, she has extensive knowledge of the area and could not have been more helpful, constantly making dinner reservations for us and checking the weather forecast. Her English is fantastic too which helps as I don’t speak Italian. After our wedding we returned to the b&b and gave her some wedding flowers, confetti (Italian sweets) and some other bits as a small token of our appreciation for not only helping us but for looking after my family so incredibly well. We have stayed in the most expensive hotel in mandello and if we ever return (and we one day hope to) we will 100% stay with Lucia and her wonderful family. This quiet, private, stunning b&b is excellent value for money. It is perfectly located, very clean and owned by the sweetest people in Mandello. Grazie Lucia and family! Xx
