I decided to book here because a friend of mine who was visiting Taitung a couple of months ago stayed here and recommended it. So, so happy I did, because it was such an accommodating and cozy stay, and the location in central Taitung City is super convenient. The room itself is very basic, essentially just a place to sleep and store valuable belongings in small lockers, which is exactly what I needed it to be. Bathroom & shower amenities were clean and simple. The first floor is beautifully decorated and supremely cat-themed, and there's two cats that roam there during normal hours. Great for eating, reading, chatting, etc. I actually ended up making two new friends in the common space. The boss is very kind and explained everything to me in detail (and in English). Overall, I had a splendid stay here and would certainly come here again.

I don't know if there's anything I didn't like! I would highly recommend to others.

We had everything we needed. The owner was very friendly. He helped us arrange a taxi for the next morning. This hostel is centrally located and a 15 min walk to many stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again in the future. (The rooftop is also a gem if you want to sit outside and relax).

The hostel is very cosy and warm, it felt like visiting a friend. It’s also located in a convenient area - there’s convenience stores and many food options nearby. The rooms and toilets are super clean and well-maintained. I was very touched by the hosts’ kindness - they were so welcoming and made me feel right at home. They showed me the warmth of Taitung and I couldn’t be more grateful. There’s also 2 adorable cats living in the hostel! This is a lovely and quaint guesthouse in the beautiful Taitung city. I would love to come back and visit again.

The best things about the property were the cleanliness and the common space downstairs. Also, the garden at the terrace was wonderful.

A big turndown for us was that the air conditioner does not function from 9 am to 6 pm. Since it was summer time, the room became quite hot and uncomfortable if someone doesn’t plan on going out during these hours or plans to take rest or so. Also the owner controls the air conditioner so there is no way the guests can use it by their own. The terrace also had no air conditioner facility, so it was very hot and warm over there, making it quite uncomfortable in the peak summers.

The beds are not comfortable

This place felt like your own home, everything was super clean. We also used the bikes for free to see Taitung which was really comfortable for us. We have never been in such a cozy hostel before. The owner is an absolutely welcoming and warm-hearted person who is willing to help where he can. He helped us a lot and even gave us some Taiwanese snacks to taste. Really delicious. Highly recommend!
