Post Office Penthouse

Space. Everything we needed was there; toaster, microwave, washing machine etc)

Noisy floorboards. Dark stairwell (arrival at 4 meant lights weren’t on but it was very dark). Inconsistent heating throughout. Location of light switches was irratic! Entry instructions not terribly clear (blue door turned out to be black, no mention of lift).

Fantastic apartment in a great location. Would 100% recommend staying at the Post Office Penthouse

Great location

Everything was amazing. Was very clean and the layout was fantastic. Crisp and clean properly. Well thought out design. Was a pleasure to stay in. Had everything we needed and much more.

The property was in a fabulous location for us and our needs, good secure parking. The apartment was large and spacious, the lounge, dinning, kitchen area was a great place for relaxing and socialising as a group. The bedrooms all having ensuite made it ideal for us as a family group travelling and staying together.

The security at the front door of the property was non-existent, the outer and inner door should have been locked and released by a buzzer system but this was broken, so the communal areas were open to any person that wanted to come in. The communal areas, especially the stairs up to the various apartments were very dirty, with spillage's of god knows what and looked as they hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. Also in the apartment the lounge coffee table had 2 quite large sticky patches when we arrived. The kitchen floor also had sticky patches between the fridge freezer and the centre island, plus the kitchen floor looked like it had been washed with a dirt mop and water. One of the bedrooms the shower screen had obviously been broken at some point and replaced with a shower curtain, this curtain was held on with cable ties.....not really the best look in a £300 plus a night apartment.

We had some niggles - for example there were no curtains in the back room, making it very hard for our son to sleep - but it was very clean, and nicely furnished and made-up. The flat is a very cool space and is in a great location - close to historic bits of Great Yarmouth and easily accessible from the station. We certainly enjoyed our stay.

There isn't a drinking-water tap and all the water seems to be 'softened' so it's rather unpleasant to drink or make tea/coffee with. Some maintenance issues too: the lack of curtains in the back room was quite annoying - it's a huge window so there was nothing we could knock up for the duration of our stay, and there didn't seem to be a way to open the blinds at all in the mezzanine bedroom. Some drawers in the bedrooms would be great.
