In Good Location And With Balcony - Casa Vacanze Nicole In Salento

We had a great stay. Check-in easy and problem free & commincation excellent. This is a compact appt in a fab location. Small but useable kitchen, bathroom with washing machine, decent sized bedrooms and balcony, overlooking quiet garden courtyard, which sat 5 for dinner fairly comfortably. It DOES have internet and everything worked as it should. The parking place was a bonus, esp if you are there in high season. It is right by Otranto's lovely old town and castle.

No kettle - either electric or stovetop! Bathroom could do with a little tlc - hooks etc. Some bedside lights would be good and agree with other review re. odd coloured lighting in bedrooms. However, these are small things and for the price, it is very good.

Only a few minutes walk to old town.

Communication was terrible, trying to get the keys was a nightmare and so much more complicated than it needed to be. There were no instructions for anything inside the apartment, the hot water would not work until a neighbour told us how to turn it on, the light to the bathroom was broken, the drain in the shower was an open hole with jagged edges, the cooktop didn't work so we couldn't even boil water for our sons bottles, the furniture was cheap Flatpack with sharp edges that my partner cut his shin on, the apartment lacked anything that gave it a lived in feel and the window shutters wouldn't work properly and you could see where people had tried to use them and taken chunks out of the wall. Beds are hard and springy and the orange lighting was atrocious. Basically the apartment is where happiness goes to die.
