We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Aumaru Holiday Home at the rear of the property which is part of Ranganui's. Best decision ever. Very clean and very modern. Well situated near the lagoon. Full use of Ranganui's pool, kayaks, snorkelling equipment. Close to cruise boats and good restaurants. Host Maggie looks after all your needs

We stayed for 7 nights & absolutely loved our stay. Dylan & his staff are fantastic & made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. There’s no public transport on the island so you’ll need a car or scooter for a few days if you want to explore the island like we did. The location of Ranginui’s is brilliant & theres 2 restaurants & 1 cafe within easy walking distance or plenty of other options once you’ve got transport or a taxi. We had a studio appt & it was large enough for the 2 of us & it had everyone needed. I’d be glad to come back again.

Third time to this Island. First time staying at this bungalow. It was clean and tidy air conditioning in the main bedroom only fans in every room to keep the circulation going. It’s situated right in front of the lagoon with steps to the water.

This is not a high end resort but tge staff try really hard to make your stay pleasant. Our every request was immediately dealt with. Dylan, the manager, is a sweet man with a huge smile. The resort is located on a very pretty beach/lagoon. They have free use if kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes. They also rent cars and scooters. The Blue Lagoon Restaurant is close by as us the Koru Bakery, both of which i recommend highly.

It was beautiful setting , our accommodation was everything you want, the staff were very helpful I could not have asked for anything more Set Internet doesn’t do it justice

We stayed at Ranginui Retreat in December 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The cottages were comfortable, clean, and cozy, with air conditioning that was much appreciated in the humid December heat. Dylan, the owners' son, was especially hospitable and incredibly helpful. He went out of his way to assist us in several ways. He picked us up from and took us to the airport. Also, he organised a wheelchair for an elderly member of our party who had mobility issues, and even arranged for a wheelchair on Rarotonga for when we returned to the mainland. We only had to walk five meters to swim in the pristine blue waters of the lagoon. There are two great places to eat within easy walking distance: Koru Café/Blue Lagoon Restaurant, which offers outstanding food in a beautiful setting overlooking the lagoon, and The Boatshed, where you can enjoy drinks and delicious food.

Very quiet, little area right on the water.Basically 12 bungalow cabins .Big thanks to Dylan picking up and dropping off from airport.NOTE:..this is not a "luxury" resort , but the location is great, price is great for the traveller that wants a quiet, low key island experience.NOTE: Aitutaki can get very hot so consider the Cabins with air conditioning..Also the roosters rule and can get noisy...LOL

Stayed a week which is a bit long. Got a room without air conditioning which is unbearable with the high level of humidity. We had to ask for one with the air conditioning and a kitchenette- wonderful! The tours are very expensive so we just stayed swim in the lagoon, make use of the free kayaks and the pool on site. Staff are helpful and friendly. The room that we had was just quite basic and needs upgrading.

Very basic cabin. Office open only til noon. Left our bags told we could collect late in the afternoon. All locked up. No answer on the provided phone. The crankiest (non-Aitutakian) man allowed us to get our bags saying obviously it’s all locked because office hours are til 12. Completely unnecessary behaviour and attitude to guests who just paid heartily to stay there. He needs to develop some customer service skills or get off this most beautiful island.
