Fun atmosphere in a good location.

Pillows are like boat cushions, bring your own. My shower was one of the multifunction ones where you can change from body sprays to a shower head, but the selector valve was broken. It was stuck on body sprays.

Loved the theme! The staff was very friendly and kind. Very convenient location.

Wish there was an elevator, but the staff kindly helped with my luggage up during check-in.

The most striking thing about this hotel is the lovely design of the house and the rooms. Each room is lovingly personalised. I had the Arctic room, where the walls behind and beside the bed are painted with penguins and seals in their natural habitat. This room has enough space for two people including large luggage and has a small balcony. It has separate rooms for a comfort shower and toilet. The centrally located hot and cold water dispenser helps to reduce plastic waste. Communication works well even without English with the help of translation apps. The central location of the house means that everything (ferry port, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.) is within walking distance. The hot water is heated by solar thermal energy, which means it can still be a little chilly in the morning. But that wasn't a problem for me.

The "very good breakfast" advertised on Booking.com and included in the room rate consists of a 7-Eleven voucher for 50 TWD; you don't even get a sandwich for that. A little more honesty would be desirable here. However, there are several places in the immediate vicinity where you can get a good quality and reasonably priced breakfast (toasts, burgers, omelettes etc.), at your own expense, of course. WiFi is a little weak, especially a little further away from the room door. Nevertheless, the internet connection is relatively stable and fast enough for video calls.

Very clean and calm, peaceful. The staff was nice and helpful. I liked the design of the hotel, you’re like in the sea.
