1905 Zino's Palace

Great location overlooking the sea in a quieter part of the Island yet only a 30 min drive from the airport. Hotel was really nice and comfortable with spacious rooms. Always clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. The onsite restaurant was great too as I preferred to dine here of an evening on the terrace. The dinner menu was good and had a nice selection. Again, the service was good and staff super friendly and attentive. There was dedicated parking available.

There really wasn’t much that I didn’t like about the property as I had such a good stay. However, there were a few minor points worth mentioning: 1. My room was 1901 at ground level. Very nice room but it sounded like there were elephants playing upstairs. Not ideal when trying to sleep. 2. Dinner isn’t available Sunday and Monday. Not the end of the world as you can go out for dinner no problem. Just something to be aware of. Snack / lunch time small options are available but not what you want for an evening meal. 3. Whilst there was dedicated parking, it’s very limited. I didn’t have problems getting a space each day when I returned to the hotel, but I can see how it might be an issue during peak times.

Perfect spot 25 minutes outside Funchal Breakfast and dinner were chefs kiss. The staff was so friendly, big shout out to Orlando who gave great local recommendations. Property was magical and rooms had elegant touches

Road leading to property was narrow and steep but not hotel fault.

Stunning property, amazing food ( three vegetarian options on supper menu). Close to Banana Museum which is totally worth a visit

The room and the communal area had lovely views of the sea and town below the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

You couldn't easily get up and down from the hotel to the town below.

Unique property with great attention to detail. Thoroughly enjoyed dinners on the patio overlooking the ocean. Staff were very attentive and made sure the experience was enjoyable. Location is well suited for day trips throughout the northern and western parts on the island.
