Getcha Hostel

Location to the main streets of Taichung, and plenty to eat. Affordable for the short stay. Taichung is lively and it was nice to explore and have a close accommodation to the Northern part.

Quite a far walk from the train station had to take an Uber there and back. The shared mixed dorms and bathrooms I feel need to have an age limit. Sharing a bathroom with very very old men is alarming at times. I am no stranger to the hostel environment or very close quarters but sharing a room with multiple men who could be my grandfather was a bit much. If I wasnt traveling with my brother and partner a female dorm here is a must. I feel that age limit in a shared environment should be capped at 35. Maybe the hotel could designate a dorm and a floor specifically for 35 and older folks.
