Pipe House Playa Grande

The place is lovely and well kept. Host is really nice and friendly. 9 rooms is the total capacity. 2 showers and 2 toilets for each gender.

Although this looks super close to Tamarindo city center it’s 40’ away by car or a boat ride away for $2 but only until 5pm. The hostel is inside a national park so a good 10’ to get there by car is offroad and full of potholes. Only two plugs in the room No mirror or bin in the room The room has no walking space, just the bed

Don't expect much space here. These were fun to stay for a couple of nights, but for two people in one pipe, it is tight. The beds are comfy and the a/c works well. The shared kitchen is great and proximity to the beach is wonderful. Overall, a great stay, just a bit tight for luggage in the pipe.

For two people the pipe is too small, but doable for a couple of nights.

It is cozy in the pipe. The location and grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. It is quite.

Trying to figure out the temperature in the pipe. No opening windows. No place to store your luggage. The owners dogs barking. No change of sheet the entire week we stayed there

Staying at Pipe House was an great experience for my family and I. Kids we're enjoyed the little pipe house. Time spent at the beach and warm atmosphere. I was fascinated about the adventure of sleeping in a pipe. For 2 days is pretty sufficient. I was impressed about the staff. Very receptive and close to clients. Ready to serve and to help with any kind of questions/problems. We enjoyed at the maximum. The location is very closet to the Playa Grande/ Tamarindo. The beach is very clean, warm and gives you a variety of activities to do it. I enjoyed capturing very nice pictures/ personal and with drone. I highly recommend it. Pura Vida.

Bathrooms need some restoration. Breakfast must be more diverse. Coffee more stronger. My suggestion. Is depending on every client.

this property is astonishingly beautiful when you walk in! hearing about the sustainability aspect put into every aspect is a huge plus and very admirable by Felipe! him and his team are extremely welcoming without being too present like some places with shared accommodations. only a few steps away from what feels like a private beach. he also found us an amazing turtle watching tour during the nesting season 🥳

the only thing I would change was the placement of the AC right over our heads in the rooms. but everything else was great!

The owner was very nice and offered a ton of suggestions for things to do. The outdoor gym is really neat. The rooms are cool and look exactly like they do on the internet. A very "Instagram" type place. Also, other guests gather in the main areas, so it was a cool place to meet people.

No hot water. There's not a whole lot to do in Playa Grande. A lot of the action is in Tamarindo, which looks really close but is actually a 45 min drive away. There is a boat taxis that runs, but only during the day.
