I share my a heartfelt compliment about Javier & Elena - the owner of Casa A Pichona --- "Exceptional care beyond words – a hotel that feels like home." This is far more than a hotel stay. The owner Javier & Elena of “Casa A Pichona” personally went above and beyond any expectation, driving me to another city to see the doctor (medical centre & pharmacy). That level of kindness and dedication is something you rarely, if ever, find. The hotel itself is a gem – delicious, home-style food that comforts both body and soul, thoughtful amenities that show true attention to detail, and service that is both warm and professional. Every need was anticipated. If you’re looking for a place where the owner genuinely treats you like family, this is it. Thank you for turning a stressful time into a manageable, even comforting, experience. Highly, highly recommended.

"For a little luxury on the Camino"

Like a boutique hotel, really. Beautiful decor and bed had exquisite linens. Our hosts were really kind and friendly. We had a delicious home prepared dinner and were sent on our way early next morning with fresh baked cake from our host, ,though we were walking early and couldn't stay for breakfast.

Nothing, it is a perfect stop over when doing the Camino and is a little oasis of luxury at a great price. We hope to return some day.

"Schön, aber muss nicht sein"

Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr liebevoll renoviert. Die 2 Einzelbetten waren mir persönlich zu schmal. Für Personen, die grösser sind ider ein pasr mehr Kilos haben, nicht geeignet.

Das Frühstück war überschaubar. Für den Joghurt extra aus einem 6 er wurde 1,50 EUR genommen. Der Kaffee kam aus einer Filtermaschine und war nicht sehr lecker im Vergleich zu den Kaffees auf der Reise.

"Wonderful and Peaceful stay just outside Dumbria"

Beautiful restoration of an old stone building! The rooms were lovely and the grounds were peaceful… even a babbling brook. The meal was fantastic. And the best part was the cake … that she made .. and wrapped up for us to take the next day. Thank you 🙏

Tolle Gastgeber, toller Service und perfekt gelegen am Camino. Wer mal einen schöne entspannte Nacht haben möchte, sollte dort ein Zimmer buchen.
