Please note Torre Ducale Dimora Storica is set on the top floor (accessible by elevator), the elevator reaches the top of the building and the base of a four floor 1400 tower, all studios are then reachable by stairs and have their own independent access. A surcharge of 30 EUR applies for arrivals after check-in hours. All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property. The property is located in a restricted traffic area.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. "Fun stay for a night or two,"

The location is excellent, the room was clean with a comfortable bed and good linen. The stand out feature of the tower is a panoramic view on three sides.

Access is complex ( 5 keys ) and great care must be taken on the final flights of winding steel stairs with keyed heavy steel doors you must operate while standing on the steps. You can't get in or out of the tower section without the keys so we both had to come in and out together ! Evacuation/rescue would also be difficult so we kept the keys in a fixed place with a good torch. The apartment itself is rustic, the fitout agricultural and lacking basics: no sink plugs, no lid for the one small saucepan, no cutting knife or board ... There is a proper bathroom but we were told not to use the bath (perhaps thats why there were no plugs) so had to squat in the bath and hose ourselves with a small hand shower (no wall bracket). Staying a night or two would have been fun, but after 5 nights we were looking forward to a warm shower and creature comforts of our next stop.

The views are amazing in the day and the night. Penthouse is amazing! The host was very friendly and helpful! The location is the center of everything historical. Tub was nice.

150 steps to the top! Must be in good shape with little luggage. If you want a snack it's a long trip.

Great central location, easy to find, clean studio with everything you need. We would definitely come back there.

It was not a problem for us but the studio is located at the 5th floor and there is no elevator. So it won't be easy for older persons with luggage to reach the 5th floor without elevator. Also, being right in the city center, parking is expensive. In the parking nearby I paid 24 euros/day and another 2.7 euros per additional hour.
