AUAUI love the 1970’s vibe ( real ) the simple free breakfast , the hot clean showers , the clean ( shared) toilets . Camperdown is a gorgeous country town too . I actually ended up doing volunteer and some work here because I could afford the stay . This place is a genuine asset to the town as well as travellers who stay for work or pleasure .
EEThis was a very authentic and pleasant place. We even didn't know that the hotel along with the whole town feels like a time travel into the 19th century - all this architecture and atmosphere, it was just great. The hotel says on Booking that there is no breakfast but actually there were bread, some spreads, milk and cereals available for free. The staff was totally friendly. Although there is a huge club & pub under the hotel, the place was quiet in the night and we had a good sleep.
AUAUCheap, and clean, conveniently close to Mt Leura Hillclimb
No food in the pub, and the only other options in town was fish n chips and pizza. There's only two other pubs and they were at capacity. So if the Commercial had a bistro it would have been a great experience.
AUStaff, amenities, and bar downstairs, and breakfast included was fantastic, just the bed was a bit too firm for us.
Please just remember that the bathroom is outside your room when booking. Please remember to pack your PJs for the night.
