The breakfasts were excellent. The bed and room were very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. An excellent value.

The walk “up” to the town center was like every walk in town. Either uphill or downhill. Thankfully it was just a few minutes and it was all downhill coming back !

Hotel Casa Betel is a hidden gem in Barichara. Close (easy walking distance) to the main plaza, but far enough away that you don't get the tourist and backpacker crowd walking past your door at all hours. Very quiet location in a beautiful residential neighborhood. Easy access by car of moto-taxi. Very friendly and professional staff. The property looks like it's brand new. Super clean. Warm and inviting. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Loved the fresh fruit bowl to start and the fresh baked bread was fantastic.

Nothing. I enjoyed everything. If I had to pick one think was that it was a little far from the main strip (although that also may be a good thing).
