Summerhill Guest Farm

I loved the quiet, tranquility and peacefulness. The birds and the animals were a plus. The hospitality from Bob and Wendy were superb. Family environment.

Just a pity I couldn't park closer to my cottage but that was only for me as I have very weak lung capacity so the walking uphill was a bit strenuous.

The peacefulness. It is a great place to get away from the house and just unwind.

I have no complaints and would gladly book a room again - next time for a much longer stay.

The staff was great. Fun for the kids to get to feed the animals and collect eggs. Beautiful view. And nice with a pool.

Some cleaning issues. But was fixed immediately when noted.

Gut gelegen, nette Gastgeber. Bett bequem, Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen, dafür schöner Garten.

Everything! We had such a warm welcoming by both human and dogs 🙂 It is in such a beautiful spot with lovely gardens and so peaceful. Would definitely recommend this guest farm

Beautiful farm with so much to do & explore. It is honestly the closest thing ive seen to a mini Kirstenbosch Gardens on someone's private farm. There are easily close to a 1000 species of trees, plants, flowers etc on the farm. The gardens honestly felt like stepping into another world - trees, flowers, bushes and birds everywhere with winding little paths all over the property taking you to a new secret spot (a bench among the lavender bushes with a view of the mountain; an open field with some beehives; a massive olive grove; a variety of fruit trees and we picked the fruit to eat while we walked)... the last of different biomes, scenery, surprises goes on. There are several animals on the property - a friendly horse and donkey, over 25 tortoises (such special little guys with their own personality - the big one just wants his head scratched the whole time!), there are chickens, geese, cats, and dogs. The owners, Bob and Wendy, are such lovely people. Bob was so patient in answering my hundreds of questions about the property and the farm. He is a salt of the earth man, kind and honest, with a witty sense of humor! I would highly recommend this spot for anyone that loves a farm stay, nature, plants and animals, or just to have a peaceful getaway... Especially recommend for families and couples! 11 out of 10 all round! :)

Nothing, it was perfect.

Beautiful location and comfottable stay. Host is very accommodating. I really enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend it.
