Hænuvík Cottages

It was a cute house though very small and the vintage decoration was interesting.

No understanding or lenience for uncontrollable factors from the staff. We were running late by 20-30 minutes to the check in time due to weather and traffic after driving 5+ hours to get there and so I messaged and called the host to let them know. They had said in their prior messages ‘Please let me know if you would like to check in earlier or later than the designated times.’ When I talked with them they said they close at 10 and there is no way to check in after. We had to book other accommodations that night and did not get our money back. Then when we arrived they said for checking out just leave the key in the door. Very frustrating experience when they could have easily have done the same for us the night before and their messages implied there would be a late check-in option. Blankets and towels are an extra fee which is clearly stated but still is very unusual. House is very small and built for short people as well as cold which all would have been fine if the experience getting there wasn’t so horrible. Overall I would recommend finding anywhere else to stay.

The cottage we had provided a realistic feeling of how the people in the 1920s lived. Ceilings of 180cm, no warm water, everything really small. If you prefer luxury cottages, that is definitely not for you. It worked well for us. Wifi works flawlessly and we enjoyed the BBQ.

Localisation

Uniquement de l’eau froide, pas de salle de bain. Douche possible dans un autre bâtiment uniquement avant 21h…ce qui n’était pas précisé… Maison de 1900 typique, restée dans son jus.

Eenvoudig huisje op een zeer rustige lokatie. Veel wandelmogelijkheden en niet ver van de rotsen van Latrabjarg.

De bedden hadden dunne matrassen, de douche was krap en ook de ruimte in het huisje was beperkt (maar wel zoals beschreven).

Le cadre est magnifique et le cottage à tout le nécessaire. Le logement est propre.

La vue

L'accueil par une personne désagréable ( voir hostile à notre présence). Il fallu prouver que nous avions réservé... L'accès à ce site est compliqué car la piste est mauvaise avec des éboulements. C'est très éloigné. Nous sommes arrivés en avance, le logement était libre et on nous a dit de revenir à 16h. C'est super quand on vient de se faire la piste en moto. C'est très éloigné des falaises. De plus le logement est très petit ( surface habitable d'un camping-car ), pas de rangements... Très cher ( prix des draps 40 euros...). A ÉVITER

El sitio donde estaba y que fuera una cabañita independiente. La cabaña es antigua pero está reformada hace poco y los muebles y electrodomésticos son bastante nuevos. Estaba todo muy limpio.

El tamaño de la cabaña, muy pequeña para tres personas y especialmente pequeño e incómodo el baño, que es además, lo peor reformado.
