Tidy, functional and clean

Stayed here from Sept 18th to Sept 30th. Small rooms. Very congested. Not suitable to keep big suitcases that you carry from California. Even the front desk is very congested. The visitor lounge is narrow and small. Some visitors make loud conversations/phone calls, the staff do not even condition them. Some occupants/visitors even leave left over items on the tray, leaving the place clumsy and sometimes dirty. Initially stayed in Room 301 and later shifted to 408. (The only difference being extra closet to keep personal stuff - comes at an additional cost of Rs 500 per day). Rooms are generally clean and well kept. The cleaning crew does a decent job to clean daily and also change the sheets every third day. Any additional service is provided on request. Manager Jovian Diaz is very helpful, service minded. On our request Jovian arranged the Airport drop-off service, with a clean Van and a very good driver. Any issue, when taken to Jovian, is resolved to satisfaction In Room 301 we did not see any pests. After we moved to 408. we noticed two unpleasant events, even though staff tried their best to correct/rectify. 1) There was a heavy smoke smell once we entered the room. When we complained this, the staff reaffirmed that all rooms are non-smoking rooms and that no one is allowed to smoke inside. However, the balconies are designated as "smoking area" and hence occupants can freely smoke in all balconies in all floors. (This must change. If the hotel is smoke free - it should be smoke free in the entire building.) However, I suspect, if pungent smoke odor from balcony can reach the room. I strongly felt some staff were using the adjacent room (409) to perhaps smoke in the washroom (that is a guess, as otherwise, such a strong smoke odor cannot reach the headboard. We made complaint to the front desk (Mr.Doss). He assured that he would correct the situation. Somehow, after we complained, it reduced. It could take time to eliminate, as smoke odor sticks to wall and furniture. 2) Room 408 - In the washroom, we noticed movement of small/tiny roaches during night. They were limited ONLY to the bathroom. We did NOT notice anything inside the room perse. The pests could hide under the sink or in the gaps in the fixtures in the bathroom. We complained to the front staff. They did treat or spray pest control (a onetime measure). Again, this helped next two days. But still, was not completely removed. It is obvious to me that they must implement effective pest prevention/elimination program in place. The breakfast is generally good and wholesome. Wide selection. Espresso dispensing from the coffee machine is tolerable. The staff are generally helpful, humble and service oriented. No aggressive behavior. I saw many single ladies staying in the hotel. The hotel is in Cunnigham road. It is very congested and narrow road. If you have NO outing program, it would be sickening to sit inside. My take is that it is only suitable for local temporary visitors to the city, say for a day or two. It may not be a pleasant stay, if planning a long haul to tour the historic sites of Karnataka, travelling all the way from SFO, California. Overall decent place to stay, if you can ride the small bumps

Rooms are well maintained and the service here is excellent.Ganesh and Jitender are friendly staff and helpful making check in check out smooth the over wall atmosphere felt welcoming and the location was convenient for getting around it was pleasant experience and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a simple and comfortable stay
