Surf Suites

I don’t expect much from beachfront motels but this certainly exceeded expectations. It’s older like most beachfront motels but clean, spacious and comfortable with all rooms facing the water. I nice large slider opens on the balcony. Very convenient to downtown and UNCW it’s beside my favorite restaurant in Wilmington - Oceanic, and across the street from Sundays coffee shop a cute, albeit always busy 2nd floor coffee shop above the surf shop.

Great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The room was not what we expected. The bathroom needs a new toilet (very old and did not work well at all) as well as a bathroom fan. Linens and paper goods were poor quality and the sliding door to the patio was extremely difficult to open. We’ve stayed at this property before and had better experiences in other rooms. Room 110 needs work.

My daughter and I had the perfect beach getaway at Surf Suites! It’s an older facility but I was pleasantly surprised at how the unit was up-to-date and very clean! We loved being directly in the beach with the balcony. We will definitely stay here again!!

The area is quiet. The property sits on the beach and view was outstanding. Rooms and property were very clean. The only 2 downfalls were, the beds were more hard than we were used to and there were not any towel racks in the bathroom, just hooks. Management did not let you hang towels on balcony railing. But overall, a great stay. We actually stayed an extra night.

This was our first time staying here and we were very impressed. They put us on the first floor and we loved having the patio that was open to the lawn area. It was nice and tranquil. Housekeeping stopped by every day that we stayed and brought new towels and took the trash. The beds were comfortable but a little firm for me, but my hubby loved it. Getting a suite with a separate bedroom from the living area was a great idea even for a couple.

Great location, easy parking, property is a little dated, but units have been recently remodeled. Great place to stay, would cone here again!
