Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos

Suihku ei toiminut,keittiön kraana oli liian lähellä altaan reunaa ja korkea verrattuna altaaseen,iglussa oli välillä liian kuuma. Sänky oli mukava samoin tyynyt ja peitot. Henkilökunta pääasiassa ystävällistä.

Valosaaste pilasi illat, mökistä myös näkyi kaikki tekemiset ulos, ilmalämpöpumpun hurina häiritsi unta, mökit liian lähellä toisiaan ei yksityisyyttä. Kynttilöitä oli poltettu, ei antanut hyvää kuvaa. Viinipullon avaaja puuttui. Vessasta oli loppu käsisaippua. Illallisen kuuluminen oli positiivinen yllätys.

Based on my experience at the Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all cost. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find the Aurora alert system was not functioning, especially since viewing the Northern Lights was the main reason for my stay. However, the bigger issue was with the room conditions. In Igloo #10, water from the bathroom sink flooded the floor, making it unusable and leaving the entire bathroom floor wet after washing my hands. Though the staff offered to move us to Igloo #11, we had to move our luggage in the dark, over icy ground, with no assistance. Upon arriving at Igloo #11, we discovered there was no running water. The staff informed us no one was available to fix it. We were left to choose between a room with no water or a room with a flooded bathroom. Reluctantly, we stayed in Igloo #10. While I understand unforeseen issues can arise, the lack of a basic amenity like running water was unacceptable, especially given the high cost of the hotel. This severely impacted our experience. More frustrating was management’s response afterward. When I provided feedback and requested a partial refund, they refused, claiming the water delay was due to a system that takes 20 minutes to activate—something no staff member mentioned during our stay. Instead, I was told there was an issue with the water and a plumber had been called. Even if this system explanation were true, no effort was made to communicate it to us during the course of our stay, and management shifted the blame onto me for not being aware of the delay. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing, and the management’s dismissive handling of my concerns made things worse. I would not recommend staying here, especially considering the premium price and the unforgivably poor customer service.

Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn that the Aurora alert system was not functioning, as viewing the Northern Lights was the main reason for my stay. In Igloo #10, we encountered a plumbing issue where water from the bathroom sink flooded the floor, making the sink unusable and the entire bathroom floor wet after just washing my hands. While I was grateful that the staff quickly offered to move us to Igloo #11, the prospect of moving all of our luggage on our own, in the dark and over icy ground, was both dangerous and uncomfortable, especially with no assistance available. When we arrived at Igloo #11, we then found that the water wasn’t running at all. Meaning, Igloo #11 had no available water and your staff informed us that there was no one available to fix it. This left us with the difficult decision of choosing between a room with no water or a room where the bathroom sink couldn’t be used due to flooding and a wet floor. We reluctantly decided to stay in Igloo #10. I fully understand that unforeseen issues can happen, but the lack of a basic amenity like running water was particularly disappointing. This impacted our overall experience, as we expected a much higher standard given the reputation and cost of your property. 
What’s more disappointing is how management handled the situation after the fact. When I reached out to provide feedback and request a partial refund, I was informed that they could not refund the money, claiming that the water delay was due to a sustainable technology that requires 20 minutes to activate. At no point during my stay did anyone from the staff seem to be aware this system or make any mention of it, and in fact, they told me there was an issue with the water and a plumber had been called. Even if this feature had been the case, no effort was made to contact us during our stay to clarify the situation of this temporary delay in running water. Instead of taking responsibility for the lack of communication and the impact this had on our stay, management shifted the blame onto me for not being aware of this supposedly necessary delay. The way my concerns were dismissed shows a lack of accountability and consideration for guests’ experiences. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing, and the management’s handling of my feedback only made the situation worse. I would not recommend staying at the Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos, especially given the premium pricing and poor customer service.

 TL;DR: My stay at the Aurora Pyramid Glass Igloos was extremely disappointing. We faced issues with a flooded bathroom, no running water in the replacement igloo, and had to move our luggage in unsafe conditions. Management refused a partial refund and dismissed my concerns, blaming the water issue on a delayed system without informing us during the stay. Poor service and high prices make this hotel a place to avoid.

The glass igloo was gorgeous and everything was very clean and comfy. The amenities in the room were excellent and there weren't a lot of lights in the room which was perfect to see the night sky.

It was a little far away from the city center, but there's a free shuttle that runs a couple times a day so if you have the flexibility, go with the shuttle. The dinner was a burger dinner which was a little simple too.

Great place beautiful scenery comfy and clean rooms.

Could kinda see everything happening inside the igloo from outside. But lovely place nonetheless

I don't know why but they don't mention that the facility is part of the Elves Village and it is a very big facility that has a cafe/shop, restaurant, reindeer farm, theme park and has access to ski path. We were very surprised when we got there because from the images we were expecting a distant/remote facility that has little to no reception/moderation, like some other lodge type stays in Finland. Also, unlike other comments, we found the room big enough to stay in it comfortably. The buffet breakfast was good, had plenty of choices.

The igloo was amazing. The perfect luxury and novelty accommodation. The igloo was cozy and very comfortable with wonderful amenities. We enjoyed a beautiful night at the igloo. We also caught the shuttle to the property from town from the Crazy Reindeer hotel. Overall it was a fantastic stay that I am so glad we did!

The buffet dinner was nice but nothing special. The information about the shuttle was very unclear and it was very infrequent which made it hard because the property is very isolated. There was no way to contact reception once in the igloo as we didn’t have Finnish phones and we had some difficulty with the electronic system.
