Saldanha Prestige

I had an amazing stay at Saldanha Prestige rooms. The staff were amazing and promptly helpful in their replies held with professionalism. You will receive messages guiding you how to check in and a reminder before your checkout. Diogo and Maria were very kind with their replies and recommendations for areas to visit and favorite spots. The room was facilitated with a bed, portable rack hanger for clothes, side drawers and a study table with two chairs. The apartment had a shared kitchen and dining area with two bathrooms and one additional small toilet room. I believe it consisted of 9 rooms in total. The area is surrounded by restaurants, malls, cafes and grocery stores e.g. (Aldi Picoas and Lidl Azul next to Sao Sebastiao metro station) of walking distance of 10 mins average. Thank you again for the team and well done for this lovely arrangement.

There was a slight unpleasant odor in the corridor and building entrance (probably due to its old state). Some guests have flooded the floor with water out of the shower area due to clogs in the drainage. It is a shared apartment therefore expect that people might not always maintain a good routine of hygiene practice.

The checkin process could have easier

Very good location. Close to two metro stations and not far from Praça Pombal

I booked a single room for a cost of 82 euros per night. You get a tiny rather depressive room with a window looking into the "patio" which does not provide you much air and almost no light but does provide some insects in the night. There is some smell from the bathroom. Waste basket has not been emptied over my 4 days stay (probably there is some warning on the booking site).

The proximity of the location to the city center.

Location was close to the Saldanha Metro although I used the Parque stop on the Azul line more often, and that was about a 10 minute walk away. The view from the room was nice, and the space was comfortable for one person with a good desk for working. The shared bathrooms were fine.

There was no keypad at the main door, but the smartphone app worked to open the lock. I wish directions were more clear in case my phone wasn’t working. Also, the directions should have mentioned where the light switch was for the hallway lights. It was very dark on arrival and hard to find the inner apartment door.

I choose the accommodation because it was reviewed as quiet. Indeed we did not hear much from the street and our room was at an inner space so we could have the window open at night. Also Saldanha was very helpful with finding a safe spot for my bicycle, which was much appreciated. There is no staff but they are responsive. The two bathrooms were clean and the kitchen looks good with a table where you can sit and all kind of kitchen outensils. (did not really use it) It is close to metro and you can also still walk to centre.

The bed was not great. As we had the room opposite the bathrooms, we heard all the people frequently slamming doors which meant earplugs unfortunately. And somebody has been pushing the doorbell for half an hour (!) after midnight, which was rather ennoying.
