Hólmavík Guesthouse

Guesthouse was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had a stovetop, fridge, and microwave, as well as an electric kettle. There was salt and pepper provided, as well as many pots and pans. Bring your own oil. My only complaint was that the water smelled sulfuric, and I was not sure if it was safe to drink so I brought bottled water.

We checked in late in the day. They were friendly and showed us around property. Also was unaware there was a bistro on top floor until we arrived and was great for a night cap and breakfast hit the spot

The staff was super wonderful, the view was beautiful, clean and welcoming

We liked the host who was friendly and humorous. He also recommended a restaurant and its dish the fish cheek which we really enjoyed. After the dinner, he got us hotter for tea and some nice chatting. The breakfast was simple but good.

friendly staff, easy check in, basic breakfast included but a plus in the area. Restaurant right across the street from hotel. Parking right in the back. We only stayed one night, hear there are whale watching tours from this location, but we were passing by and did not do any tours. Would stay here again if needed.

The room is so small and no space out of room neither. The owner is a business minded man, he used every inch of his space, very tiny space of upper stair has his bistro operated. That is why no microwave available to guests, you step out your room you are in Bistro, which sells simple food but not cheap. The owner also tried to upper sale more expensive room to us. The room is clean.
