The owners are very friendly, the apartment "Il Mandorlo" is comfortable (spacious, with a lot of light, equipped with all basic appliances except the microwave oven). Very very clean. I have been there in winter and I can confirm that you can make your apartment as warm as you wish. I didn't see any air conditioning though, so I am not sure about the temperature in summer. I loved the way the owners accepted and even welcomed my little cat, really adorable. I didn't experience the pool but even in winter it looks nicely designed and located. A little additional note for non-Italian speaking tourists: I noticed that the English translations of the instructions you find in the house are sometimes misleading and a bit rude. This is really just a translation problem as the instructions in Italian are very kind and clear.

The level of noise you will experience depends on the other guests. The big house has several apartments and different guests have different habits (the time they wake up, go to sleep, if they play outside - which would perhaps be just in front of your window). So, while the house itself is (very) isolated and away from any environmental source of noise, if your neighbouring traveller plays football 2 metres away from your window, you will not sleep. I also didn't like the size of the single beds as they are 80 x 200 cm but that is very personal. Despite the fact that each apartment is equipped with a modem, you might experience temporary issues with the Internet connection but that is just because the house is isolated. By the way, because the fields around the house are used for agriculture purposes, at night you will smell the fertilisers.

Peacful location with very nice spacious apartment and very kind owners. Good starting point for exploring Umbria as well as Toscana. We had everything we needed.

The apartment was spacious, silent, fully furnished and warm. Whatsmore, the thermostat could be adjusted easily and hot water was always availbale. A welcoming scent filled the air - few lodgings provide that. Plenty of sheltered free parking space. Giancarlo gave great advice on where to go and was attentive to our every need. We particularly enjoyed our e-bike trip around Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, starting off from the lakeside bicycle track near 'CiCli Valentini'. Castiglione del Lago (Pg) is a great place to visit and merits a return. The accommodation is strategically located, allowing us to easily tour the many Tuscan towns and Natural Baths nearby.

Bed-side mats would indeed be a good investment. The floor tiles are cold. So, adding this item would improve comfort levels. Remember to bring your condiments (vinegar/olive oil ) if you wish to eat salads!

We loved our time here! Beautiful property and very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped and the proprietors we’re wonderful to work with.
