Borthwen B&B

Very judicious photography. The hotel is actually on the corner of one of the main routes down to the beach so we often found ourselves sunbathing by the pool with solid traffic honking horns just metres away. Could still chill out there though and the pool bar is very handy. Room was a little small for families but we weren't in it that often. Breakfast was good: plenty to choose from and a nice relaxed self-service system. Fairly well-equipped gym, pool and table tennis. Overall, not bad value for Olüdeniz (but we also found Olüdeniz to be a bit more Benidorm-y than the standard 'blue lagoon' photos suggest).

Very enjoyable stay. Lisa and Colin very welcoming. No distance to centre of Dolgellau.

Borthwen is a lovely homely classy place to stay. The standards are very high and Colin and Lisa take good care of all their clients and provide a fabulous substantial breakfast.The views from the property are outstanding and the bird life in the garden provide great entertainment ! It would be hard to find a better B and B in Dolgellau

If you want to relax browsing the local shops or eateries, maybe just sit on the patio enjoying the birds, view and peace, or take a country walk, it’s all here, superb

Just enjoyed our 2nd stay at Borthwen. Undoubtedly the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Amazing views of the beautiful scenery, our room very comfortable with everything you need, great breakfasts and fabulous hosts. We’ll be booking again as soon as can.

Colin and Lisa are amazing hosts: welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the local area The B&B is spotlessly clean, the room a nice size, with tea, coffee, milk, sugar (topped up daily) with cups, glasses, kettle, hair dryer, and TV also available. The bathroom/shower is lovely, the bed spacious and comfortable, and the room overlooks beautiful scenery. You book ahead for breakfast: the English breakfast was amazing, and there are cereals, yoghurts, fruit and various juices also available - as well as tea and Coffee. Prticular tastes and preferences are catered for, and the breakfast is freshly cooked and to your requested individual requirements. We are looking forward to staying there again.
