Enjoy staying three nights at Harbour View Cottage. Clean, lovely decorated, quiet area. Cafés, supermarket and restaurants in near vicinity. Had a very relaxing time.

Was missing a powersocket in the bathroom, but that is just a minor thing.

The property has a cosy nautical feel with a lot of quirky statement pieces, I loved the comfy swing sofa chair on the balcony over looking the beautiful garden with the city lights in the background. The property has sensor lights to light your way up to the cottage when returning back late at night. Well equiped kitchen, loved the fact it had a washing machine and dryer/washing line available. Bathroom was immaculate with great products and a twin shower head (handheld and rain) which has great pressure. Lovely and friendly people whom had great recommendations of restaurants and advice on seeing the city.

No negatives at all - things to take into consideration... there is a ladder to climb up to the bed and you will need to climb down to use the bathroom, the single lane one way in and out driveway to get to the parking spot, the street to get into the driveway has many cars parked on one side of the street however was a quiet street with very minimal cars using it and lastly check out is 9:30 - 9:45 am

This accommodation is in a quiet location in a nice neighbourhood close to a supermarket and restaurants. Both beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed (which isn’t always the case). The breakfast was substantial.

There was a disturbing smell from the sofa bed. Communication was poor: 1. On 23/8 I requested that we would need both beds to be made up. 2. There was no reply until 29/8, a 2,777-word generic message with all sorts of information, which included (about 1/3 the way through) the following: “When 2 singles guests are using 2 beds, an extra linen fee of $20 applies for the duration of the stay.” This message also included the following: “Except for Genius Members who are entitled to 1 free Light Breakfast per person per stay, breakfasts are not included in the room price. 3 types of breakfast are available: • Light Breakfast (NZ$20/person): Tea and Coffee from your kitchen bar, toasts, butter and spreads, cereals, fruit juice. • French Continental (NZ$25/person): Fresh Tea or Coffee with whole farm milk, toasts, croissant or brioche, butter, home-made jam, cheese spread, organic ham and soft boiled egg, cereals, fresh fruit juice. • Full Provencal Brunch ($45/person). 3. I replied the same day “thank you for pointing out that as Genius Members we are entitled to one free Light Breakfast per person per stay. What would be the charge to upgrade to a French Continental Breakfast each?” 4. On 31/8 the property replied “The breakfast upgrade is just $10. Extra cash charges (Breakfast upgrades, parking and linen) come to NZ$50.” 5. I replied the same day “Thank you, Geoff. On reflection, since we will have had 3 huge meals on September 1, the Light Breakfast will be just right.” However, despite saying we only wanted a Light Breakfast each, we were charged for a French Continental Breakfast each, but we didn't receive complete French Continental Breakfasts, as there was no fresh tea or coffee or organic ham.

Great people. Great for our dog. Food was good.

The stairwell to upstairs room is incredibly steep and dangerous. The area was too cluttered with quaint little pieces of furniture and ornaments/pot plants that just cramped everything up. It is nice re the while cottage quaint thing, but it can be done in a way that does not rob the room of valuable space. The cottage really is too small for 3 people.

everything was just perfect location to where we were traveling the next day . greeted with a friendly smile and great run down on the cottages amenities fresh orange juice from the owners tree . peaceful surrounding with privacy . clean and warm very comfortable loved the place and will be back again and telling mates about this cottage
