Masseria Testaferrata

Francesco was very helpful with recommending restaurants in Ortiga and booked us a table at an excellent pizzeria. In addition we were recommended to visit an excellent local beach in Arenella. All the staff were polite and friendly and the setting is peaceful with a great pool.

The coffee at breakfast wasn’t very strong, therefore we brought our own coffee however we were provided hot water which solved our request.

The old house is nicely renovated and especially looks pretty at night.

Breakfast is very simple and the location is quite out of the way of everything.

the property is beautiful and the pool area and garden are very nice. they had already informed us that the kitchen is closed, but they still managed to prepare a good breakfast. they also shared many recommendations for restaurants and beaches in advance which we appreciated

the rooms are quite narrow, and the only sources of light are the door of the room (on ground floor), and a window that is quite high up. neither of those had a net so keeping either of those open during the night for fresh air was not an option. Unfortunately, it was also very humid in the room, where having the option of having either window or door open would have been great for ventilation. another thing is that there is no coffee machine of kettle in the rooms, which should be a basic amenity for rooms of such a price category

Such an amazing place! We loved the hotel! Francesco was as such a kind host, we will definitely come back again!

We stayed two nights at Masseria Tesfaferata, and we’re so glad we chose this place. After two exhausting days exploring Catania and trekking on Mount Etna, Masseria Tesfaferata truly felt like an oasis. For the first time on our Sicilian trip, I finally slept well. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was small but functional, and even though all the neighboring rooms were occupied, it was perfectly quiet, I couldn’t hear a thing. It was so peaceful at night. The property itself was beautifully maintained, and the hotel staff were all so friendly, always ready to help us with anything we needed. I also loved how beautiful and serene the whole place felt. Breakfast offered a great variety, from pastries to fresh fruit. The weather wasn’t quite warm enough to swim, but the pool was huge and there were plenty of sunbeds. We had such a pleasant stay, and we’d definitely come back!

The breakfast was great. The staff were really nice. The hotel and the surrounding area were lovely. A real treat.

It was all really nice.

Perfect place to visit Siracusa, Noto, Taormina and to relax!!!!
