Mood-Cavour

You can't be more central than Corso Cavour in Pavia, which really helps in terms of getting access to all the amenities and sights of the town centre and the neighbouring areas. It's an easy walk from the train station and the room itself is well presented and maintained. It does have a fridge and a cooker with some cutlery and dishes, so cooking a meal is a possibility if the visitors choose to do so.

Communication with the host was problematic all along - from no responses to messages via Booking.com to unreturned texts and lack of clear guidance regarding checking in. The instructions for getting access into the property were Google translated from Italian and didn't make much sense, although the process of entering the code to get access to the key is quite straightforward. In general, my impression was that the hosts were prepared to only communicate in Italian, so if you're a fluent speaker of this language or are used to the self-check in processes (the latter was the case with me) , there shouldn't be any issues. However, overall my stay in Pavia was a good one, so I can't complain really, particularly because the room itself was well maintained and good value for money.
