Covesea Lighthouse Cottages

Everything was perfect. Magical location easy for walks and just to enjoy spectacular views of the Moray Firth. I grew up locally and was always fascinated by our beautiful lighthouse at the beach, so it felt like staying with an old friend. The house has been furnished beautifully and so comfortable, whilst maintaining the unique characteristics of the cottage.

The bath was a little ‘hairy’ on arrival, but only took a quick clean. Sink in bath Room a slow drainer. I’m truly scraping the barrel to find any flaws, but these two points would have made it ‘an even better if’

The location was spectacular. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back

Self-catering.

The storage heaters in the front room and hall are badly in need of replacement. When we arrived neither could be made to work and although Chris was good enough to come out on our first evening and managed to sort the one in the hall the one in the front room remained inoperable. We had to use a temporary, portable, heater we found in one of the cupboards. If the weather had been much cooler, or even colder, it would have made for a less pleasant stay.

The location is stunning, direct access to the most beautiful sandy beach. Lighthouse tour was fascinating. Very quiet location and great views of the RAF planes coming in to land. Accommodation was comfortable and well appointed.
