It was an unforgettable experience staying in such a historic place. We were also very lucky to meet the owner, who is a wonderful person—extremely helpful with everything related to Prato and incredibly friendly. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. In fact, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the property so much that we hardly wanted to leave to explore the city. We will always remember our stay here and will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

I liked everything

It is not often you can say you have been part of a bit of history but with this villa you can. It has been in the owners' family for generations and Allesandro was very generous with his time telling us the story of the villa and how it came to be in his family, how his family rose to prominence in the 13th century and tales from the more recent past. The property is old, historic but with modern comforts. I liked the fact you could get a drink there and there was an honesty box to pay. Although, the wine only came as bottles, which was much too much for us as a couple, the night before we were due to come home. It was a shame it was a flying visit, I would have loved to have stayed another few nights.

The stairs to the room were precarious and it was difficult to haul our cases up. Allessandro helped but was not available the next morning. This isn't a problem but just something to be aware of. It is the price to pay for staying in an historic villa.

Tout d’abord la chambre est comme dans un accessoire de sous sol mal desservi , sombre et peu accessible. Le système d’eau froide ne fonctionnait pas dans la chambre, impossible de se doucher ou se laver
