It's situated right in the centre of Padua, with many interesting museums and places within a few minutes' walk. It felt very safe, with a downstairs concierge (for the building), and the street door was locked at night and only opened with a key. There was a lift, which is good as there are about 5 floors. The apartment was comfortable and of a good size. The kitchen had some cookware, although we didn't use the oven at all as we tended to eat a lot of salad and fruit. It doesn't have a microwave. There are markets very nearby, and also a Pam supermarket a couple of minutes away. The communication with the company (Clean bnb) was very good. We were a bit apprehensive when we learned the apartment was managed by a letting company, and we may not have booked it if we had known. But the company seems to be a regulated enterprise with apartments all over Italy, and it was all fine. It overlooks a Piazza, which is fine, but on Saturday night, they do like to party loudly and all night. It is a busy university city, so it is not necessarily a peaceful getaway if you stay over the weekend. It is only about 10 minutes' walk from the station, and it is mostly flat. The Scrovegni Chapel is a must-see, but you have to book in advance. The tourist information office is only down the road, and they are super helpful.

Mosquitoes! There didn't seem to be air conditioning, and no nets or repellent provided, so take your own. They are ferocious! Very noisy on Saturday night because of the exuberance outside. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing, just not to our taste.

Great mattress and sheets. Fridge and kitchen ok. Great location for our needs. Much else was disappointing.

Management did not contact us "several days prior" as promised, so I was left with multiple phone numbers trying to complete pre-check-in the day before arrival. The over-reliance on tech (including a hard-to manage web portal) made us feel like they wanted no contact with their guests. Big corporate feel, like they're managing so many properties that the needs of individual guests don't matter. Zero flexibility on check-in time. Shower head exploded with our first shower on a hot day. Shower head was dropped off for my husband to fix with no tools. The "air conditioning" was totally insufficient. In 3 nights it never really cooled the apt, but just blew hot air around. Opening windows at night was our only way to not suffocate. Reporting problems to the off-site management was not appreciated. No apologies. Instead, we were portrayed as the problem. The large building has some permanent residents but many short-term apartments, so the whole place felt very anonymous. So sad that this is what's happening in the "hospitality" industry.

Instructions to how to turn the AC on would have been appreciated. When I entered the room it was really really hot. And it took some time to figure out how to turn the AC on.

location is perfect, and the apartment is well-equipped.

The AC is not working and is not available at all. When I asked for assistance, the hosts brought me a fan. If this specific amenity is unavailable, they should delete it from the list. I imagine more people like me are choosing this place because it has AC.

Location was a hit.

The rooms were stuffy when we got back in the evening but if we opened the windows we invited the mosquitos. Not ideal. Future bookings will now include A/C .

There are bedbugs in the apartment and I was covered in bites after the first night.

Easy access to lock box

room was smelly and a bit muggy. Quite a lot of street noise in the morning. Second night was unbearable due to construction work in the street in the middle of the night. Windows could not be opened during the night due to mosquitos, no fly nets.
