Tenuta il Sassone - Wine&Food

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The staff were exceptional, warm and friendly yet so competent and professional. They made our stay extra special. It’s a small and intimate place and I’d recommend staying at least two nights. The pasta making class was wonderful and we enjoyed learning about the winery. Friendly animals. I also highly recommend the maremma regional park and the WWF bird sanctuary

It wasn’t a problem for us, but the rooms have different views. I’d recommend booking one which has the valley view. The side room is quite dark.

La tenuta si trova in mezzo a boschi, vigneti e ulivi. La struttura è ben tenuta e curata nei minimi particolari. Il personale è attento e cordiale. Veramente una bellissima esperienza.

Very nice hotel in beautiful countryside. Very rural and "off the beaten track" so very quiet and peaceful. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent food at all times. Fabulous views across the valley. The pool looked very nice and clean with sunbeds and towels provided, but it was too cold for us to go in! Lots of outside sitting areas. Nice walks in surrounding area. Very clean and comfortable.

Hard to fault this hotel but would have liked more choice at dinner time rather than just the set meal which was provided, but it was very nice but a bit too meaty for us!

Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, mit selber gemachter Konfitüre und hausgemachten Kuchen. Lage: wunderbarer Ausblick auf die Maremma, absolut ruhig, viel Natur rund um das Haus. Sehr sympathische, fröhliche Angestellte. Toller Swimming Pool. Hervorragendes Abendessen mit köstlichen Weinen aus dem eigenen Keller.

Die Tenuta liegt recht abgelegen. Die letzten 2,5 km der Anfahrt sind zum Teil sehr holprige und steile Naturstrassen. Nichts für tiefgelegte Fahrzeuge... ;-)

if you love remote places - this is the place to be: nothing than forest around and a nice view. quiet. very. nice! but - the other side of the coin: acoording the remote forest location, you need to accept certain insects. we had to kick out a dozen of brown marmorated stink bugs when we entered our room. we felt the dinner is high in price but medium in quality. breakfast looks amazing - but less could be more (fresh) stuff. the staff (thanks Asia) is extremly friendly and helpfull! nice people!

the rooms from my view, are a kind of „old fashioned“ and „conservative“ in style and equipment. the pics from booking do not really reflect the situation i felt.
